well all the map is reversed, so when you're in the mirrored world, it's the same pattern than before but mirrored! mirroring the controls is a good option, but as you say, the game is already hard enough and it would be too much, sadly :'(

You should just had a score header on the game UI to give objectives to the player.

It should be great to have a spawnrate of ennemies that increase by time, it could give to your game a a better defeat condition!
