Cyberfriend! Your game looks very cool too! Appreciate the feedback - definitely already chipping away at those graphics settings options for the post jam build!

(1 edit)

Sadness :( Stay tuned though, as we are already working on graphical settings for our post-jam release to allow more people to play!

Well made game, was fun to have the different things to choose from, and I like that you could save your runes for if you wanted to put them in your rune bar or not. I also love necromancers so that's a plus from me haha!

Cute game! I really liked now the narrative kind of encouraged you to keep scrolling along through the narrative and the story was good. I died almost at the very end of the level so didn't make it to the end. Check points would be great for sure as another commentor mentioned. I enjoyed your game <3

I enjoy tower defense games and this was relaxing.

Nice "beat" game! I liked how if you got it right the plants looked different. Gave the good dopamines when you got perfect lol

This is such a great idea for a game. I feel like if you had made perhaps the left mouse button be the spider thread it would be easier to use controls. I think it would also be cool if the webs you put down caught the flies for a little bit! Very cute game!

Hey there! Good start! I also think the game is bugged after first cycle. Shame, I wanted to see the new flowers. I really liked your cover art too!

Really liked the art of this game, definitely had the creepy vibes. Interesting concept to switch out organs to do different things. I think it would have been good if the doors stopped the big baddie, otherwise I felt like if I was spotted, I was just guaranteed to die. Was cool to have it always lurking and never knowing where it would be next.

I loved this game. I never figured out how to get the pie, but I absolutely think you did an amazing job on this! Well done! I agree the lawn mower sound was a bit much, and I had a bit of trouble with some of the controls - once I touched the crate I had to be -so careful- not to touch them again.
Great game!

Yo this is a great game! What a gem! I loved this game. The burrburburr of the flying saucer was really satisfying and the puzzles were fun! Visuals were great too. You all did a great job! Also shout out to another Unreal dev <3

Lol yeah that was totally the -vibe-. When we were discussing the audio and dialogue, we were like - ok these have to be so silly, but the characters are taking this -very seriously-.  I mean it's internet hamster warriors. How could we not go ridiculous with it? Lol

We even told October, our composer, that for the dialogue scenes it had to be mega internet god epic universal srs vibe and she knocked it out of the park lol

And yeah, those BEEG LOOPS are definitely a thing. We are looking at tweaking that post jam, but for now, we are happy with people getting the dopamines with the big booms lol.

Thanks for playing!

Yay! Thanks so much! We really worked hard at it, and are so glad you enjoyed it!

Ahh! Thank you so much! We are looking at expanding it >.>

Aaaah! Thanks! Lol, we definitely went for over-the-top ridiculous. Glad you enjoyed!

Wow thanks so much for your words! This kind of feedback really just makes the team so jazzed up and happy to know that their hard work is being enjoyed. Really appreciate the review!

Good puzzles, good music too, and the levels were well designed, nice job on all that! The art got the story across too. @Jimmy did nothing wrong (I love Jimmy lol).

So glad you played it! Loved your game too! And level 4 is -definitely- final boss territory lol.

Hey thanks for playing our game! Yeah we are looking at doing a bit of UI tweaking just to highlight those things a little more for sure.
Tail is how fast you are going - longer you zoomie, longer the tail gets! And the further your mouse is from your character, the faster you accelerate.

We decided right click because during play testing, a few people accidentally hit LMB so we figured RMB was the better bet.

LOVED the art style. Very cool. I liked the text too and the glow of it.  I found the level a bit too hard, and couldn't get very far. I think if maybe the side of the spikes didn't hurt you, only the top, that might help? Great job on getting settings in too!

I enjoyed the rope and tree highlights and the simple concept. Neat idea! I think it would have been cool if the spider legs gave a little feedback when they hit the rope.

Couldn't get your game to load :(

This was so so good! You did amazing, the animals were incredibly cute, the combos were really good, and you kept adding more unique animals as the game went on. I absolutely loved it! Super polished and smooth!

You did really good getting the movement feeling down. I lot of games this jam used keyboard controls, or sometimes even mouse movement and weren't able to get it to feel responsive and you did! I also liked the sound FX, the clouds, and the fact you got so many settings programmed in such a short amount of time.

I like the atmosphere, I like the introduction to the gameplay, and how you ramp it up! I couldn't figure out how to get past the stairs. I enjoyed the lighting in the level.

I was not expecting the sudden spookiness. I really liked that twist!

The music was solid, car was neat! I found the fans hard to navigate and I think the would be better with 3 fins instead of 4, as the size of the car compared to the size of the the gaps was very hard to get through.

Really thought the hug mechanic was adorable! I loved the art style, and I think you did a great job with your tutorial and how to play and amping up the difficulty.

I really loved the main character! I absolutely love the rewind mechanic and the art for it, felt really nice.
I struggled with it being a locked camera for a 3d platformer and I feel like it would have been more enjoyable if the camera followed my orientation.

Thanks so much Gaby! Really enjoyed your stream too, loved seeing you flex those gamer skillz haha!

Lol! Yeah that was one of the two big bugs that we couldn't 'loop' before shipping for the jam. The you can win by losing bug lol. We tried to fix it but it was a gigabug that took more than one loop. RIP. We will fix it post jam though.

So glad you enjoyed it!

Neat game! It definitely gave me a bit of the creeps going through and seeing different things change. I'm not quite sure how to get a different ending, but I really loved some of the writing on the wall and the cat fading out, and the musical changes.

I like the concept and the fast-moving garden management style of the game. I'd suggest maybe putting some more screenshots up of your game on your page!

I liked the concept, and the art is really good! I wish that dodge was an ability that you could place more freely like the skip card. I wasn't quite sure why my card slots would disappear sometimes.

Hey so glad you enjoyed it! We found the mouse movement really satisfying too!

As for the win condition, there is a progress bar at the top of the screen, and you have to kill a certain number of Malwars to reach the next stage. You also have a health bar in the top left, that if you get hit or run into too many Malwars you die.

Bug spawns are random, and while the Gigabugs should eventually roam into the middle of the map, we will look into restricting their spawn points so they don't spawn too close to the corners next time. Great feedback! Thanks for the play!

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed our over-the-top narrative too. I think we all went to bed after jam with "NIBBLES" burned into the inside of our braincells lol.

Jacob is magical! lol
It was so great to watch you stream this last night, and really appreciate the feedback and play through!

We definitely have some new things planned for expanded gameplay, but focused on wanting to deliver on one mechanic with a supporting mechanic really well with the jam time constraints. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the play and review!

And yeah that's a sticky bug we tried to fix 4-5 different times, but still didn't quite get it sorted by the time the jam deadline came up. It's definitely some kind of audio overload as it generally only pops up late game when there are a bajillion Malwars on the screen, or when you use Hyper Blast on a bunch of  Malwars. We are still trying to figure out how to 'loop' that particular issue. Appreciate the feedback

Thanks so much! Yeah we decided to go a bit 'ham', if you will >:)

Great idea about graphics settings too! I'm wondering what's causing the stuttering, as we didn't see that in our own playtesting across various machines, but I did see it after the jam on someone's computer. Mind you they also had approximately 75 google tabs open, and several other programs and were playing on basically a notepad, so that was definitely a stress test on that setup lol. Interesting that you had such troubles on a beefy machine, though. Will definitely bring this to the team and see what we can do! Thanks for the feedback!

The art is -beautiful- for this game and honestly was very relaxing to play. I enjoyed the idea and the ambiance.
I'm not sure if there is an additional level but I couldn't get past the first portal? I found it, but I couldn't figure out how to use it. Beautiful game though!
