Love the art, especially the cat (it's so cute!!!!!!),and the idea is really creative. Few tweaks like making the loops more forgiving (have to loop really precisely or it doesn't work) and maybe giving the cat iframes when it is pulled back (i often finished a loop and the cat got pulled back automatically into spikes 😭). 2 bugs I encountered were that the player didn't die when health hit zero and that when the cat died it would sometimes slide continuously in a direction. Overall a very unique concept and fun game!
Nice puzzles, there's some tricky ones in there that made me have to think for a little bit. Really liked the sound effects, were very satisfying. Like said by others, being able to move placed pieces would be nice. The UI is very clean and the graphics are simple but clear and effective. Nice work, had fun playing!
Very enjoyable, reminded me of Crypt of the Necrodancer. Artstyle was clean and looked nice (though I did lose track of the player every now and then), and the animations were well made. Music fit the aesthetic well and the sfx were good. I think the only critique I can give are that there could perhaps be a few more sound effects, like a roar when you summon a big skeleton, or various grunts and shouts from the enemies. In terms of new additions if you chose to add more, I think a few more upgrades, maybe a leveling system for upgrades (can merge duplicates?), and unique charge times for each upgrade (some might be powerful enough to warrant more windup, others might have a small effect that could be fast). Overall a great game and one of the most polished and complete games I've played for this jam.
I like the hand-drawn messy feel of the art, it adds a lot of character. The game itself felt a little bit creepy and I think if you chose to revisit this that aspect could definitely be expanded on; maybe the dark room has shadowy figures hidden in the corner that disappear once you see them, or maybe the statue moves and eats the apples with loud crunching noises, and perhaps the horror aspect could become more intense with the number of loops. Just my opinion, but I think this would do really well as a puzzle-horror hybrid. Cool stuff, thanks for making it!
Fun puzzles, I think the way the mechanics work makes it possible to get a lot of mileage out of a few different objects, and I could definitely see as a full game with a few more mechanics and levels. Also, I don't know if this is intended, but I had a lot of fun with standing on top of mirrors and picking them up to get launched super high. Very fun "feature" to mess around with. All in all the game feels really enjoyable to play, nice work!
Had a lot of fun with this one, the puzzles were at times actually very challenging and really made me feel like I was having to program and problem-solve. I liked the music as well, had a simple but cozy techno feel to it, reminded me of something out of FTL. The art fit the music and genre well (though the wall could perhaps stand out a bit more). Only thing that I could maybe point out to improve is that the text got a bit blurred; I noticed you used Godot, and I've had a similar issue in the past that can be fixed by changing the texture filter of the text from whatever it is (I'm guessing it's set to inherit, and is inheriting the project default of linear) to nearest. If that doesn't do it, it might just be a resolution or web thing. Apart from that one minor thing the rest is really good, great job!
I like the idea, but in execution, I ended up drawing loops that were somewhat oblong, and these didn't work. I had to be rather precise to have the loops work. A little bit of fine tuning or perhaps making any closed shape that contains the majority of an enemy or asteroid work would help improve this.
Love what you have here - the music is good but not overpowering, the art is simple and clean, but still pretty, and the gameplay is at a good sweet spot for difficulty. At this point my only suggestion is to add more upgrades; most of them are fairly bland; I like the minigun upgrade because it adds risk and reward - more dps, but faster bullets are more likely to hit you. I wonder if maybe adding new weapon types (for example, a sniper that does heavy semi-piercing shots that travel very quickly, but you have to be very careful to not miss, or you are very likely to hit yourself). Some new enemies could also add some spice; apart from content, greater passive health regen would be nice, or having the health upgrade heal you over time as well. But all-in-all this, is a great and fun game!
