I can’t deny that some of the influences I draw from lean into clichés, sometimes deliberately (like in Sicae), but sometimes they don’t translate well when the tone shifts to something more serious. My aim isn’t to romanticize abuse or trauma, but to try exploring flawed characters and messy situations without trivializing them. That said, if parts of the writing come across as unintentional victim-blaming or moral coercion, then that’s on me to rethink and refine. Your feedback is really valuable in helping me see where the narrative might stumble.

I’ll admit it, I’m still an inexperienced writer, and I’m sorry this left you disappointed. That said, if you already know what the other game is like and absolutely despise it, then I’d suggest skipping this one, too. Otherwise, it’s like hopping on a bike, steering straight into a wall, and then complaining that the wall shouldn’t have been there in the first place.

The intent was never to erase or invalidate the victim’s experience. Redemption arcs, in my view, should never come at the cost of silencing or undermining a survivor’s emotions. I hope you've all been well during my absence. As you might remember, I had to take a break due to a health issue involving a perianal abscess. It was a tough decision for me, but I knew I had to prioritize my health and recovery. I'm delighted to share some great news with you all - I'm back on my feet and returning to work tomorrow!

The antibiotics worked wonders, and thankfully, surgery wasn't necessary. After several days of rest and medication, my doctor has given me the all-clear to resume my normal activities.
