The intent was never to erase or invalidate the victim’s experience. Redemption arcs, in my view, should never come at the cost of silencing or undermining a survivor’s emotions. Your perspective makes it clear that some parts of the execution may be giving the wrong impression, and that’s something I’ll take seriously going forward. Respect for the victim’s journey and trauma is essential, and if the story fails to convey that properly, then I need to revisit how it’s being presented.
