Thanks for reaching out (and sorry for the delay in responding).
I'm happy to help you get started. The best resource I can offer are the source codes for two visual novels I created with Jo Engine, which are open available on GitHub. You can use them as a practical guide and a foundation for your own project.
Here are the links:
- The Lighthouse of Sao Bento do Oeste: https://github.com/GSansigolo/The-Lighthouse-of-Sao-Bento-do-Oeste
- The Case of the City Botucaiba: https://github.com/GSansigolo/The-Case-of-the-City-Botucaiba
To use them, you can fork or download the source code directly from GitHub and place it in the projects folder within your local Jo Engine directory. Once there, you can use the build/run scripts in the project folder to compile the game and run it on an emulator.
Unfortunately, due to my current schedule, I won't be able to offer direct, one-on-one help. However, I'm confident that by exploring the "Lighthouse" and "Case" projects, you'll find a solid starting point (a v0) for creating your own visual novel using Jo Engine.
Best of luck with your project!
