Ohhh that's such an interesting perspective!! Thinking about it from that lens, you did a phenomenal job achieving that goal! Great game

It takes another 25 minutes (or 20 whatever we set it to), but yeah each new time you open the menu is that set amount of time. We wanted to force the player to think very carefully about what they ask and the things they engage with so they aren't just going around asking everything and kinda cheesing it
Thanks for the feedback! The clock actually isn’t running while you’re inspecting/talking/looking around/etc., it’s more of an action economy masked as a timer (eg. Every time you have a conversation, no matter how many lines of dialogue or however many minutes you spend reading, it takes 25 in game minutes or something like that, whereas moving rooms always takes 5 and inspecting takes like 10-12). Though we did still want to add that feature to conversations, we just didn’t have time
Yes, that's my arm!! I went around asking my whole family if anyone had an analog watch I could borrow before settling on what's in the game now. I also probably got a few weird looks since I kept running to different spots in the house for the right lighting/background to cut out the images of my arm and the paper haha
I think the concept for this game is super unique! never would I have imagined a world where vampires explode from too much blood lol. That said, the mechanics felt a little unintuitive at first. With the blood stream going behind you instead of in front, it essentially felt like the controls were in reverse, and also it felt like the blood sea would fill up my blood too fast for how limiting the movement is at times. I would go to fill up and accidentally end up dying by filling up all my blood because I can't turn fast enough, making the blood sea feel incredibly punishing yet still entirely necessary. However, I still really enjoyed playing, especially when envisioning all the lore you embedded in the game! Great job on this!!!
I love love love the concept of playing as a piece of TNT running around and shooting candles to stop from blowing up! I did however have some hitbox issues with larger candles, which felt especially frustrating since it felt like I went through all that effort just for them to not really drop anything of value. It could've been interesting to see more done with the fact you're a piece of TNT, but I overall I still had a lot of fun playing! Great job!
I genuinely thought to myself "how could this game POSSIBLY be hard?" and I was very quickly given an answer... awesome game! The art, despite its simplicity, was really appealing to me, and the unique variety of puzzles kept it interesting and challenging. The lack of audio was a bit unsettling, but regardless I found it an enjoyable experience.
Really interesting concept for a game for sure! I think its a unique twist on the theme since it doesn't rely on time counting down, but instead the floor you're on, and the fact this was only made in 8-12 hours makes it more impressive. The lack of audio is a little unsettling, and I seemed to have gotten stuck on floor 4 despite them not pressing any buttons, but otherwise is was a great concept! I'd be excited to see what you could've done with the full time.
Loved the concept! I had some issues with the wire not cutting properly, but I think the timer added a good stress factor to the puzzles without making it too difficult. The timer disappearing felt a little arbitrary, especially since if you completed the first few puzzles quickly you kinda just had to sit there, and so it made the last one feel a bit less like a puzzle and more like a test of patience/blind guessing. But overall, I had a fun time going through it!
Simple but engaging gameplay, great graphics, all around a pretty enjoyable experience! My main recommendation would be polishing up level design a bit. If a gap between two statically placed enemies can be traveled through, it should be incredibly clear. There were a couple times where I got stuck for a second because i didn't realize i could make it through a gap, and was looking for another way around. Awesome game though!
Loved the puzzles, and i think the stamina system is a great way to encourage players to really think about what they want to do. I think I found a small glitch though, I had zero stamina, moved into the final cookie and both won and lost. It spawned me back on the same level, but then when I moved i got teleported to the next level. Not really a huge issue though, just a small little bug I found that's probably pretty easy to overlook
The game felt a little too easy (could just hold F and spam the rolling pin to easily defeat all the vegetables) and the movement felt a little unpolished/like the levels didn't really fit the movement (if you have a high jump, make the jumps the player must make high, if you have a short jump make the jumps the player must make short, fast movement = more space, slower movement = less space, etc.) and while that's not an exact blueprint I think its generally a good rule of thumb to make the distances the player must travel match the movement well.
I will say, however, I liked the story a lot and it was still a very enjoyable playthrough going through and trying to find all the different endings, great game!!
The movement was a little buggy, not sure if I was supposed to be able to climb walls or not and I didn't know if I could try to kill enemies or not (tried to do what mario does and jump on their heads before realizing that didn't work) so a little clarification on things like that would've been nice, but overall a fun experience (i found the love!!)
I really liked the visuals with this game but the gameplay was a little lacking though, and it felt like there wasn't much challenge since pretty much every time I got hit was because the monster thing just spawned directly on top of me (or right in front of me while I was walking)
Great job though!!
I actually really enjoyed the typing mechanic with this game, but it did have some drawbacks. Sometimes i'd type to share something, make a small typing error, and then spend a few seconds trying to figure out why it wasn't working/retyping the whole thing. Some form of auto complete/command suggestion/buttons to do commands would definitely help this game shine even more than it already does. I think this was a really interesting take on the limitation, awesome job!
Definitely a challenging playthrough solo but still an enjoyable experience! Reminds me a lot of overcooked, though I think the controls could use some refining/a little more clarification because I struggled sometimes to get things to work and also struggled a bit figuring out how to make certain dishes
A fun game with a cool atmosphere and nice story to wrap everything together! The little thing that points you in the direction of important things did throw me off a bit though, because it kept pointing me to epsilon but every time i talked with them they just said the same thing so it kinda just kept pointing me in the wrong direction. Otherwise, great game!
