Yo man, I tried the game and it was a beauty. The cases were well thought out, as were the characters. The gameplay feels flawless, as does the AI integration. I really felt like an interrogator, and the showcase og the emotions of the suspects make it even better.
There wasn’t any huge problem, but there were a lot of small ones that can add up and reduce the player experience. The easiest fix is to change the audio to loop so it doesn’t stop after a couple of minutes. The emotions really spice up the gameplay, but you could add them invisibly only after the “send” button is pressed instead of showing them in the text right away. These are minor things that don’t really matter; I just thought it would be good to list them.
Now, the sprites and UI everything looks really good individually, they’re awesome, but together they don’t quite fit. Maybe it’s the resolution, idk. What I’d recommend is using a color palette search one up that fits the vibes. The fewer colors, the better. And one more tip for the art: scaling. The sprites are pixelated, but the pixel sizes are sometimes different, which hurts the overall look.
Hope you can use some of my tips in the future love you man:)
Hey man loved it! Its really smooth and amaizing graphics did you draw the spites? And how does the ai answer so fast, it almost feels like real time. For me its a bit monoton but the gameplay loop is well tought out. A bit of a bug is that the sword text stayes waht I have written before when it can talk again. Its nothing much but preatty easy to fix just lineedit = "" after the scene changes. All in all felt like a complete game maybe you can even publish it in the future :)
Hey tried the game really good job. Sometimes the npcs went rouge but there is nothing we can do about it :) . Great story, character design. Maybe you can add some sound an music and WASD control. Im really sad that there is another mobile game and even sadder that its this good, greatly decreases my chances of winning xd. GJ man
Hey man, great idea. Im a big barotrauma fun and the game gave similar vibes maybe that was the inspiration? The design looks awsome btw. I had problems tho, like figuring out how to get the enrgy cells and whats the purpuse, so maybe like an intro scene would be great. And the music is loud af tune it down a bit, I had to take off my headset xd. :)
Yo tried the game but couldnt realy get anywhere. You could make maybe the clues a bit more obvious. Another problem I have ran into was that I couldnt really get out of the screens. I mean like when I enter the code the only way to close that screen was to escape the fullscreen and then escape it. Maybe if you add a button it can be solved. The pixleart looked cool as well as the visuals and the soundesign :).
Wow just wow. Good job man awsome. Did you make the pixleart yourslef? As a pixleart artist it looks absolutely beautyful. I had some problems swithcing between movement and talking but apart of that really well polished. It feels like a totaly completed game not just any game made for a game jam. :)
Yo man tried the game and it was super fun. I loved all the character how alive the conversation felt. A nice touch would be that if I fail a text shows me that I have failed insted of just stopping and going to the next step. It takes several seconds for the ai to realise that I have failed and skip and becuse of that it skipps at the middle of my next sentence. Overall superfun and enjoyable Good work :)
I will bite whoevers idea was the reverse controll. Apart of taht its a really fun game. Sadly I got stuck around level 3,4 but its still better then beating it on normal diffulty. The concept for me was a bit random but after I have read one of the comments it explain the reason behind it. Music and sound design was great the only small problem was the the sound effects were laud compared to music. Smooth controls and the pixel sprites were good as well :).
Hey. Loved the visuals and the retro effect. It was fun to explore the map. My main issue was that when you right beside a wall and jump, you will stuck in the jumoing motion infinitly and need to restart the whole game. (I restarted it like 3 times). Maybe this was planned to truly feel the worst superpower tho :)?
Hey! I loved the game, the art styile looked stunning and so was the music. Its really good that you can damage the princess and need to look aout for its position as well , without it would be much less enyoable and repeatetive. The only problem with this is that sometimes its impossible to pick up a power ups without damaging the princess. Another thing: increasing the spawn rate of the enemies over time would be great for the game loop.
I wasn’t aware of it until now, so it’s currently using the default "my_game". I'm not entirely sure if we're talking about the same thing — is this the value defined in the "player2_config.gd" script in Godot?
If the fact that it's not unique is a problem, would it be possible if I change it and upload a new executable?
