No, they're not the dev. That would be Nomaaaaa, and they have it here (including mentioning that they wouldn't put it on itch).

Also the version this guy showcased is outdated. Current public version is 1.20, and their Patreon is a bit further but it's just some patches for the most part.

Remember this happening at the time since I also bought this while the game was still $6. Still wondering exactly why it works like this but I'm glad I scrolled down the comments again to see you address this (probably would have been more convenient for everybody if this comment was a development log post instead. That way it'll be one of the first things people see on this page and clear up some confusion).
That being said, making an attempt to poke into the situation again. As much as I did enjoy this game (especially for an RPG Maker one these days) I'd rather not go through a whole new full purchase just for an update, let alone for something that's the equivalent of a game still in Early Access. Only asking since there hasn't been much communication here.
Still have a bit of hope that something comes from this in the long run, but something tells me those weekly build uploads caught up to her at some point, and not just because of everyday life things. Can't fault anyone for being doubtful about the future of this game when there's little to no communication happening. Even with info from the Discord there's not much there.
Even after trying the demo it feels almost as empty as the earlier builds. I understand the focus with roaming around and discovering all the scenarios made here, actually kinda dig that stuff. Problem is that it still feels like there's not much to play with, especially if the guard dog being fleshed out is one of the only things that was added this whole time.
I can see there was still some effort put into all this, and it's the first I've seen from a single/duo dev giving mocap as an approach to the animations, but $15 still feels a bit up there with what's offered here.
Last time I played this was with the 0.10 public build that added the cow lass minigames. Always felt that the game was kind of lacking in a lot of areas, including on what you can do overall in the world. Most I know was that the guard dog was getting updated (only knew of this since a couple of the blurred posts on the Patreon mentioned it at the time) so I was wondering if there was anything else added considering this is now a full release, especially for the asking price here.
Stumble into this now and again because the chaos this game and the dev seems to have is like a car crash in slow motion that's hard not to check in on but like... dude chill. I'm guess they change around the password or something? (Which I find dumb there even is one for something in... whatever the state of the game is) Regardless, you need to calm down yo.
Oh I still have a player to work it with and was able to check it out (definitely is lacking in... polish, to put it very lightly), I'm just saying if they want more to actually bother with it they should probably do something that's more accessible. Quite a few will just disregard it from that alone.
Right now the experimental version has a lot more improvements and tweaks to various systems, including some new stealth indicator stuff and some animation changes. Won't go too deep on details since all the dev logs cover this. If you're looking for the public build info, just look for the one that doesn't have experimental on it. Last one was in May I believe.
Regardless if it's the public or experimental build it is possible to play as Fen in all the modes. If you're doing it in Pursuit or Buffet, you need to go to configuration and select you're playable as them, though it's possible to still go in director mode on these too. If you don't have these options, then you're playing on the legacy version. Big tell is that the menus and UI are waaaay different, and the current stuff doesn't have as many maps yet.
If you're looking for more updates coming out, I'm not sure when they'll do another one. Got stuff going on with them that they're trying to deal with and not much news has come since then. I'm still looking forward to seeing if this expands further soon, but only time will tell.
Anyways sorry I made this a lil long. Hope this helps answer some questions!
Ok, opinions on quality aside, why would make a mobile version if it's not possible to even do some of the (very few) things you added into the game? This isn't the only game someone has mentioned this happening. Wouldn't be as bad if you weren't charging money for these. You're just ripping off mobile players at this point.
Look, even if I'm not big on what you're making, at least show a lil respect for you playing players and make sure all your versions are working.
Cool to see that at least this was still being worked on. I think this could have be communicated more frequently. While there was talk of progress on the Patreon, even there it was kind of sparse, and not everyone is going to try checking there.
Only bringing this up since I've seen quite a few games just lose a ton of people with a lack of communication, and honestly with how little this game still has it's good to keep that up. Still believe there's some fun potential here, and I dig the Anabelle additions!
Building it up can take a bit at time, especially with only small talk, but they did change it to where it takes twice the time to build up and even have a cap on how much you can build one up at one time (cap reached shown when it turns grey).
Given, if you have that part turned off when you started it so you don't have that limit, then that sounds like a problematic bug.
It's honestly impressive that you're charging money for something that has so little going on that sound effects don't even exist in this. Doesn't help that everything looks like it came from an old Flash game, but even those looked better than this.
If you're going to pump out a bunch of small games like this at least put some effort into it, especially if you're asking to pay money for a game you're going to play in a browser either way.
It's a fun lil game so far. I'll admit that I was a bit skeptical when I saw it was another RPG Maker game, and while it is quite simple I think the dialogue and how a couple of fights go help it a ton. Also the first time seeing stuff like 3D animation going on... in general for these, so seeing the boss in all of that made the scale that more impressive!
I'm glad there is a gallery after going through the chapter (as I'm stubborn about losing in these half the time and it was pretty easy considering), though I think being able to view the game over images/animations with the dialog from whatever KO'd you would being in there too, considering you would still need to depend on rng on that even if you do the refights. With having unique texts on each of them I'd love to see that writing after beating a chapter.
Otherwise a nice game that I look forward to keeping an eye on!
