You haven't answered my question is this a public or a patreon build? if everything happens in the public version, then there is no bug - that's how it should be. this update in the public version focuses on reworking an already existing branch with Hannah. it would really make sense for you to start from the beginning to see what will change, there are a lot of them. but unfortunately, two of your manual saves are now broken, and if you start from the beginning, you will lose the auto-save, because it will be overwritten. on the other hand, you can postpone the file with the export of saves, the one that was sent to us. and come back to it later.

There was a bug in the latest release — on Android, a scene from the end of the web build was triggering incorrectly. This scene was also broken in the web version itself, causing it to overwrite your last autosave, essentially saving you in the middle of that scene. Now every time you load it, it replays that scene because the autosave captured a corrupted state.
If you were unlucky enough to run into this, here's what to do:
Download the hotfix — latest version 0.8.3.1
Load an earlier save — your autosave, if it was made during the web scene in the last couple of days, is broken
If you export from the web right now, everything will be fine — we've replaced the web build. You also won't have any issues with a fresh Android build — just keep playing as normal.
Sorry for all the confusion — Android-specific issues always seem to slip past us 🙄
Here's the tool we used: https://github.com/hzwer/ECCV2022-RIFE. The only interpolation artifact I'm aware of is the pattern on the MC's outfit — since it's a fairly basic technology, it just blends the two frames and the pattern gets lost. Other things that might seem odd to you could be due to the two drawings being drawn differently from each other.
If you've already completed the starting house quest (repairs, bed, etc.) just continue with the main story — new scenes unlock new options. For example, once you finish Hannah's route you can cross the bridge. There, in the human settlement, you'll be able to buy swamp ore, which is used to craft ingots. And at another story beat, Marigold will actually send you to the swamp herself. So yeah, just progress the story and it'll open up naturally.
The two key frames (first and last) were fully drawn by our artist. Previously we just crossfaded between the two frames in-game, hoping to achieve an animation effect. Now we've added in-between frames created by an interpolation script — similar to frame generation in modern GPUs, not like AI generation by prompt. So the result you see, from the overall composition down to the small details, was determined by a human, not a random number on a server.
6786... Wow.
Crafting was intended to be profitable, and it was considered that some players would use it as a way to earn money alongside farming. However, it was assumed that it would be too tedious and time-consuming to feel like free money.
Did you earn this by selling hide jackets? How long did it take you? Would you still do this if the crafting window closed after each successful craft, and to earn 1000 gold you had to not only run to the merchant, but also open the crafting window 100 times?
Well... we realized that we tested the macOS build a long time ago, on old hardware. With new equipment and software, the macOS export doesn't work.
RPG Maker MV does not work on macOS Big Sur 11.0 and later. Apple deprecated OpenGL support and removed 32-bit application support, which made MV incompatible with modern macOS versions. The developers decided not to update MV to avoid breaking existing plugins.
Solutions may exist, but they would be too technically complex for us to tackle. We understand we noticed the problem late, but we simply didn't receive any reports earlier. We will remove the macOS mention from the next release, along with this build. We sincerely apologize to everyone we gave false hope to. Currently, there is no support for modern Apple devices.

Hey guys, if you have old saves, they should work just fine. When you load an old save on a new build, we run a small script that should recalculate your level and inventory according to the new balance. Enjoy!
Of course, to fully appreciate the new combat and arenas, it's best to have a couple of free hours and start a new game. But it's not mandatory =)
First of all, you need to have the downloaded version of the game - the web version will always be limited. In the downloaded version, select the Import Saves button and choose your save file (that you exported earlier) in the file manager that appears. After that, restart the application.

Also on PC (if you're switching from one PC version to another) there's an option to simply replace the save folder in the new unpacked version with the save folder from the old unpacked version.
On Android when switching from one version to another, you just need to install one version over the other, i.e. simply install the new version and your old saves should be there.
