The mehanics are extremely unique! reminds me of itch io but its a bullet hell, im not very good at the game though. I think one thing I really liked is the art style, its so simple but it gives so much to the game. I also was pretty amused by the "yop" sound effect when you consume other blobs hahahha
Very unique implementation of the theme! The gameplay loop is extremely engaging as I would try to keep upgrading my skill tree to push back the negative thoughts for longer
I guess one improvement I can suggest is that sometimes I feel like the negative thoughts suddenly close in completely or sometimes I die when the thoughts dont touch me, though im not sure if it s a bug or part of mechanic itself
very addicitng and fun game!
The controls feel right and the gameplay is really fun! Loved the unique implementation of the shrink theme where shrinking reveals different enemies, reminds me of bowsers inside story where you can fight diferent enemies whether you are big or small.
The game is a bit buggy, though not to the point of not enjoying the game. The music stops looping after a while and requires you to shrink/stretch to start it again. I also found that I dont die after my hp reaches zero so I was able to easily defeat the boss. But overall a pretty solid entry especially with the innovative use of the shrinking mechanics
Its a pretty good game! I love the amount of polish put into this and the whole shrinking theme with losing bulelts and having to pick them up again! Music is also quite nice too! did you guys create the music?
I guess if anything, maybe having instructions for the control would be nice, I was a bit confused on how to dodge at first but maybe its becauise i dont play a lot of bullet hell games
The music while good feel slike there are two different tracks playing at once
but overall i think this is a very solid submission!
Gameplay is really fun and is overall quite polished! Love how the enemies move and attack in this game.
Though I'm not seeing much of the expansion theme over here, there's supposedly a mechanic where the boss kills you and it "expands" but I don't quite get it or get to see it in action. That probably doesn't matter though since your goal is to upload and showcase the game and you did it!
Neat concept! Could use a bit more polish though! There is a very interesting mechanic there but the controls can feel bit awkward at times though maybe that's just me, my suggestion would be to make the platform movable with WASD buttons and maybe you can have buttons at the side of the platform to stretch and rotate it. Though this is more of a suggestion based on how the game should be controlled.
Good job on the gameplay though!
The game's simple but quite fun, its like jerry's game but if it's good
I guess my only problem with this is the UI doesn't seem to be centered correctly and when loading the game it put into the wrong resolution, so I wasn't able to see important gameplay mechanics like the upgrade system or the health until I played it in fullscreen
If you have problems with the UI and need the game to be a very specific resolution to be launched in a web build, perhaps you can try to make games like these fullscreen only?
overall I think the gameplay is great and the music and art are pretty nice as well. Just that the UI might need some work and polish
game seems pretty interesting but I can't seem to pick up fragments of the mind properly. I mashed the keyboard at one time to try to pick them up. It worked but when i tried to throw it on the altar, it glitched into the ground and I wasn't able to pick up fragments when replaying the game.
After some checking around it seems you have an updated version of the game, could you send it to me if you have the time?
Im so touched to hear that my game could be a contender for the top 3! even though I may not see it that way lol
Fun fact! I actually did made the sticking more difficult at the early stages of development but my playtester found it frustrating so I actually made it really easy but I will take your feedback into account!
I agree with your suggestion in being able to see scoopability and stickiness when playing the game, I think I may implement such a feature after the jam ends (if i want to continue working on this lol)
dont forget to rate me btw!
Love the voice acting! pretty simple game that I feel could be something with more fleshed out mechanics.
You did mention that didn't manage to upload a better version right? I gave a rating now but perhaps you can make use of the amensty window later on to upload the better version which I will return to rate!
last minute rating lol
I love the 2.5d style of this game! Don't see a lot of them here. Also I think its great that you have a meow button!
Though the controls are a bit weird though, interesting decision to make the cat jump after the button is released, but maybe some ppl will like it idk
Overall a pretty visually appealing and cute game!
