No effort put into this whatsoever. Anybody could make this with the right template and some assets off of craftpix. Do better.

Brother we need sharpshooter in here

Honestly this was one of my favorite games in the jam

First of all, thank you all so much for 400 views on the Micrometer Squared Studios account! It truly wouldn't have been possible without you guys, and we're hoping to provide more games and updates in the future.

New location naming system

Next, this is the final patch for the Devoid Demo, after which development of the full game will begin.
The patch can be played right here!
This is a relatively small patch, and includes the following changes:

-Fixed website link for windows/mac exports triggering automatically
-Added new music for the Lurker
-Modified naming of passages to locations
-Adjusted fullscreen quality
-Modified flavor text for Pipe Maintenance
-Fixed death screen in Underhang
-Fixed grammar issues

That's it for the updates, everyone! We'll see you in the early access for the game's full release. Stay safe, micrometer squared studios out.

A brilliant mix of Animal Well and the creativity that Nama gives to the gaming world

Confusion on my behalf

It is a pain reading this

tenna is that you

love this, but then hate myself for holding the left arrow 0.001 millisecond longer than i was supposed to lmao

Ladies and gentlemen, after months of waiting, the fourth and final update to Devoid has been released.

This concludes the development of Devoid's Demo, and the full version will being development.

But for the newcomers, what exactly is Devoid about?
Devoid is a horror-esque roguelike set in the depths of the Kola Borehole. Assuming the role of Mikali, you descend deeper into the pit, utilizing an arsenal of perks and weapons. Fight entities, explore areas, and communicate to characters to figure out the mystery of the Kola Borehole.

The fourth update has added many changes to the game, including:

-New perks
-Industrialization
-New mechanics
and much more, the full list accessible at our devlog.

If you want to play the game, it's available at micrometer-squared.itch.io/devoid-demo, so hop on and enjoy the descent!

yippe

yoloo sure, its hackerniko@outlook.com

I liked the concept and the gameplay. Yeah, it was a little difficult understanding what was going on, as was getting the hang of it, but overall  one of the nicest games ive seen here. very well made!

I like this, but the controls make it somewhat even more impossible. Good concept, good ideas for bringing back impossible games, but, again, controls could be improved. Nice one!

Hahah, i really like all the different ways that this game can be pushed to its limits. good work!

ayy thanks!

Yeah no, i have the game downloaded. I rly enjoyed the meta aspect of the game, keep it up!

Heyy, thanks for the reply and congrats on your indexing! For some reason, despite all my games having 3-5 screenshots, only one of them actually shows the screenshots on the game page. The others don't, for some reason. I'll look into this, and hopefully it gets solved.

Heyy this is rly cool!

It's a really nice concept, but it could be executed a bit better. The puzzles were fun and I'd  bet that the lore is good too, but the text wasn't visible at times. Good work!

ah, thanks, i read it. i do have a question, however. i think my game crimson edge can be seen from search, despite it having less views and downloads and whatnot than my other game Devoid, that's not visible from search. i find this rather strange, but its just an oddity that id like to point out, not something to be fixed.

dude same issue, ive had a game up since 2024 december and its not showing up anywhere. i dont understand why, if you got your case solved please tell me what you did

I've posted several games. They're decent, get little views, and for some reason don't show up in search whatsoever, no matter how specific the prompt be. The same applies to devlogs, jams im hosting, and whatnot. I've searched the settings, everything is listed, my email is confirmed, so why isnt anything showing?

love it, feels a lot like a hempuli game with the artstyle

Precision platforming has reached a new peak

oh man i was so offline i didnt even see the deadline!

That's rly fun tbh

That looks like Bell font, is that Bell font?

Love how the cursor is a blue pin

ah, thanks for clearing that up. i respect your works

Finally someone saw the Inscryption feel that I was aiming for. Glad you enjoyed the game!

(1 edit)

This may be the result of either you modifying the rules through the course of the game (Rules such as replica or replace or useful 6), or it may be due to a rare glitch where the system picks the same card multiple times when drawing. This glitch is very rare, so its most likely the rules.

Nice, thanks!

No harm but I genuinely have no idea what this is and why its the exact same thing as balls war but this is a clicking simulator
nice

HOW DID I MISS THIS THIS IS AMAZING! The graphics are sick, the music is amazing, and the concept is great too! Definitely a great entry!

Yea, I've noticed these issues as well. See, I didn't have 10 days, I had 9, and some features I just didn't have the time to integrate, such as the explanation of the rules. The take button still being visible after beating cards is a strange error, despite all the code checking out. Indeed, highlighting the playable cards would help very much, but may ruin the immersion just a tad bit less... immersive.
As for the hand, it is worth noting that the world is ending in the game. In fact, I'm gonna go Mojang mode and make any visually altering bugs features. From now on the only correct explanation for visual glitches is: The world is breaking. :P

But hey, thanks for the feedback! I'll try to integrate these suggestions into the game after the jam is over.

Very challenging and most certainly fun. Good job on this one!
