AHHH I was so happy to get to help out with the game page assets for this project ! :D It was really fun watching you all work so tirelessly on this and I'm very impressed with how great it came out! All of the models and textures are so intricate and stylized, giving the entire game a very polished look and contributing to the unique ambience/atmosphere which I LOOOVE. I also am really in love with all of the characters; their banter, inner conflicts, and relationships. My favorite has to be Carminamine! All in all, this game is fantastic and made me think.

Hello! I'm Maxacre (or Max) and I'm a mostly solo-dev developing a game called A Writer's Muse, which is a cross between an RPG Maker Horror Game, a visual novel, and a dating sim. I am doing the majority of all the other work, but I am in search of a music composer to compose some background tracks for my game! 

The position would be purely volunteer, but you will of course be credited for your work in the credits. I also have hopes in the future to publish the full game to steam when it is done in the distant future, possibly for a price other than free (still deciding), so please keep in mind that if you decide to help write some tracks, you will be credited for your work but will not be repaid for it if I choose to go this route. 

Here's a little about the game: 

A Writer's Muse is a RPG Maker Horror/Visual Novel/Dating Sim Game where you play as a writer plagued by a lack of inspiration, which you can only quell by taking a trip to the small town of Roosevelt and meeting the friendly and sweet-- sometimes teasing--Theo, who runs a humble coffee shop in town. He seems like the most caring man you've ever met, but the more you talk to him... the more you wonder could there be more to his bubbly demeanor than you previously thought?

 ...And there are the whispers of the townsfolk, the dead birds outside your window, the sometimes deathly silent wood...

 In the crease of the valley, with one railroad leading in, and the same one leading out...

 You are here to stay. Together, will you complete your magnum opus, find love, or will you bite off more than you can chew?

I'm looking to pitch in on-going/protentional projects for this jam to do some sprites/character designs/backgrounds/CG's/ETC! YAYY!! I love Ren'Py visual novels and yanderes so this was a treat! Love the time loop idea and how there is seemingly nothing beyond the forest so you really are trapped. Lots of Yuno Gasai vibes, look forward to seeing if you expand on this! I think the script could benefit from some tweaking with spelling and pacing/clarity, and more backgrounds/sprites would be lovely! :]

I really enjoyed playing this! The visual style is super amazing and I really liked all the settings and characters! This has got to be maybe my favorite out of the Scream Forever entries that I have played so far! I'd love to see you return to this to maybe expand on the story or characters-- even though we aren't supposed to return to them sadly... I'd just love to hear more about Itsy and Bitsy's lives and their stories :] Awesome game!

I LOVE THISS SO MUCH THE PIXEL ART IS SOOO NICE!!! I love the slasher animation icon the most!! The color scheme really brings the artwork together as well! I also found that this runs really smooth and I hardly ever got stuck or soft-locked in some way ! AMAZING game!

I really love the artwork for this a looot!! My only comment is that I think the pacing of the story could be quite a bit slower, it seems like everything happens so fast and so it's hard to get attached to the main character's kid and wife before it matters, but it is a demo so I understand why the pacing might be faster because of this! I really hope the story is expanded upon in the future and I find it really cool that you got voice acting for it as well :] !! 

My first round I just got a coffee, some flowers, and went to the bathroom! I had fun later figuring out the hidden story through the clues :] Also I enjoyed the black and white aesthetic! I think that this game could benefit from a little bit more visual detail, like really fleshing out the map and places, and also some more eerie/unsettling dialogue!

LOVED the art! Very charming style! I like the sleep paralysis demon being symbolic of other themes/feelings!! Awesome game! :)

This is so well made for only being made in a month!!! Absolutely loved it! I got the ending Forever Haunted but I am planning to come back to get all of them at some point :)

I also do 2D art/character design/background stuff, as well as writing so I'd be willing to help out with anything of that sort if you need more help!-- But I also know roughly how to code using Ren'Py and would like to try my hand at UI design if that is what you are mostly needing! I usually tend to do game jams solo, but I realized that it is a really big commitment and a lot to take on, so working with someone else and focusing on mainly one area (I'm thinking the coding & UI as you've specified) would be way more casual and easier and still fun! My Instagram and Tumblr is Maxacre13 if you want to check out some of my art as well! I loved this!! I loved the pixel graphics and the ghost's stories were really lovely and emotional!! I enjoyed playing it very much :)

This was so fun I loved it!! Loved that one of the options for the barista's name was Theo 

'cause that is what I named the barista in my game as well!! I loved the humor and the dialogue also, very nice :)
