I added the music within 3 mins of the deadline haha I forgot to set it to use the music bus.. meaning the music wasn't influenced by the music bus. The sound effect slider works fine, through.

Thanks for playing.

By the way, I forgot to mention that you should add an arrow pointing to the door in the first tutorial room since the door is quite small and I was lost for a few seconds.

The controls felt weird, it felt like the snake turned late (eventhough it was my fault for pressing the button too late).

Very nice game!

The map mechanic was very confusing. Basically I had just come from my first train onto the next one and the first train's wagons were a dark grey color. The train I was currently on was next to my old train so it looked like the game wanted me to go back to the first train.

The shift button wasn't working but right click was.

Dying is extremely anti climatic.

I had fun playing this. The sound effects were nice. I couldn't figure out what the frog did. The intensity of the explosion effect is always the same and so when I died because I barely and slowly hit something, seeing a big explosion felt enraging.

Hi, I saw your other comment. Sadly, I can't do anything about it. I don't own a mac so I can't test the macOS builds.

Thank you for your feedback.

We totally should have managed our time better. I agree that we should have done some balancing and playtesting. By the way, having an extra cart means you don't lose as easy since the enemies now have two targets.

Cool game! Congrats on delivering with so much content.

I got confused when I saw the red and blue bushes because I thought that the boy couldn't get hurt by the pink bushes and vice versa.

Also, I think I found an unexpected solution to this level:

Is this game about "training", is that how your game fits the theme?

Hi, thank you for your kind words! I am the programmer not the artist. Indeed, that was the time to buy things! Go near one of the floating upgrades and hold the interact Key which is "Space" by default, although you might have changed it in settings. All in all, I've noticed playtesters don't understand the goal of the game very easily. We are going to make a better itch page today.

Thanks for playing!

I didn't find the game laggy. I think the game is too hard, though. Most of my missiles just went through the meteorites.

Thank you for your kind feedback!

I loved watching gameplay of the demo on youtube, I couldn't get enough of it because I wanted the youtuber to explore everything.

I had no idea the demo is public, thats so cool!

Thank you for your kind feedback!

There is a bug preventing you from going to the next level after you kill the intruder... it doesn't always happen.

I was so disappointed when I found out I couldn't see my creation during the actual battle! But that was compensated for when I found out you could dispense the orc party and fire arrows!

By the way, the motor's and shields' descriptions do not mention their cost.

The idea of the game was clear. I was probably placing high level units since I didn't know the difference.

I get that the game is meant to be relaxing (atleast the music gives that impression) but I wish there was a way to increase the game speed after the toys passed all of the cat towers.

I don't understand why the ghost kill the dot. Also, the game felt a bit too short since pacman just "randomly" died in my run.

It's neat that you have a cutscene. I also liked that the button to continue after dying was in the same place as the start button.

Neat idea.

The pathfinding is very odd. Did you use a package or implement it yourself?

Thank you for playing!

I agree that the game is too hard.

I thought the upgrades were for my character and then immediately regretted my decision to upgrade to triple shot haha.

I enjoyed the increasing challenge as you play the game.

Feedback:

  • Clicking freezes the game.
  • The car can go out of bounds, I couldn't see it and thus didn't know what I had to do in my first try.
  • There is no highscore.

I couldn't figure out how the game worked, sorry.

Its a cool game but I felt like I had explored everything after 2-3 tries.

Cool game. It becomes a bit repetitive after a while but I kept playing after I saw the tax collector since it made me think there was more to the gameplay loop. I was suprised that you were allowed to go bankrupt, unable to pay taxes, and still continue playing.

I enjoyed the art style very much! Is there an end goal to the game, though?

Very cool art! I like the game idea but I don't see how it fits with the jam theme.

Creative idea! I got the mediocre ending lol.

I think the game was missing sound effects and music.

Nice game. The art could use some work.

I found the tutorial a bit confusing. I don't like that the verify button is in the rule book. Perhaps make it so we can hand the document manually.

Also, I was able to stack the squares with the numbers on top of each other.

Are the potato like creatures friends or foes?

I couldn't get the player to enjoy the game. No matter what monster I put down, the player would complain!

The game doesn't feel finished and is lacking polish. What was the "colonists saved" counter all about? I tried putting them on the boat and it didn't do anything. On my second attempt I found out that you had to destroy everything.

Still, congrats on submitting a game!

Very creative idea! I think some post processing would go a long way.

I clipped through blocks after being hit twice by the player with his sword.

Very creative idea! Unfortunately, I have no idea how to move the camera and consequently couldn't even find the first street.

Very cool game. At first I thought I was playing as the bad guys and had to destroy the villages.

I liked how the tiles are randomly rotated and have some variants.

I got stuck on level 7 haha.

I enjoyed playing this game. Here is my feedback:
At first I could not figure out the controls, I tried clicking the buttons on the left to equip the different fruit. Then I tried shooting fruits but I was shooting them backwards... to me it felt like the controls were inverted. I was interpreting it more as throwing fruit (launching it with your mouse) rather than shooting fruit (like a sniper).

I couldn't figure out how well I was doing. In my first attempts I thought the bar above the ninja was his health bar but now I think it shows when the ninja is vulnerable. I also thought the purple bar was his health or something. Then I thought I had to fill this bar to the max to win. I was a little bit confused.

Also, the slow motion affects UI elements. I think it is possible to make certain nodes ignore the speed change in Godot but, if it is not, you could also try changing the speeds of the tweens in scripting to compensate.

I like that you had a tutorial-esc scene before the actual game, I just think that you should have organized the different elements on the screen in a more structured manner.

I'm not a music artist by any means but at first I found the music a bit aggressive/abrasive because of the industrial tone. I don't fully know how to describe it. But, hey, at least you made your own music, which is not something I do.

I had to die a couple of times in order to read what the random text that kept popping up ("You can't put your mouse here, thats cheating") said.

Other than that, congrats on finishing and submitting a game!

I just played your game and here is my feedback. I liked the idea and I congratulate you on finishing a game.

Here are the things I think you could improve:

  • The camera didn't follow my pace;
  • The game was too easy;
  • Pressing space should act as clicking "retry" on the death screen;
  • Hitting rocks doesn't seem to kill you or do anything;
  • Add an effect to the music when too close to the sun in order to create panic and stress;

I really enjoyed this game.

So what was that big white rectangle lol

"bubble"

Interesting and unique concept (in this jam).
The music needs improvement and is too loud.

Please add screenshots or atleast a thumbnail to your game on itch.io next time!
