I really love how this looks. Keep it up!

PXS and Saturn graphics? MY FAVORITE! :D

That mode 7 style example looks amazing. Is it actually using software to render this (faux 3d) or is it faking it with 3D routines?

Great link! I don't have time to join the game jam but will keep my eye on everything. I have appgamekit, it appears to be the most complete package for game development but I am  using Purebasic right now for my Terminal games.

How different is Commando Basic from your Craft Basic? Also are these Windows 7 compatible? The wide range of system compatibility has me interested in using these for simple game development. I'm quite invested in Pure Basic but we can never have too many BASIC languages! :D

Thanks I will try that for myself.

I feel that buying an unfinished product is very much a donation, because there is no guaranteed it will ever be finished. Which I why I chose to word it as such. Distribution platforms have pretty lengthy TOS so its easy to miss something which I why its often easier to just ask "Hey is this okay?"

Thanks for the input everyone.

Can any staff respond here and clear this up?

I had this very same question myself. No one responded.

I put up a direct link to my paypal for donations on my itcho page, but I cannot confirm whether or not this is allowed or in violation of any TOS.

To me a pre-order more of a donation and not selling the game because you are ordering it in an unfinished state. If anyone from the ITCH.IO staff can shed some light on this it would be appreciated!

This looks amazing! I love the style of it.

Great music, wish bandits weren't so common. Some combat options would be nice, also is there anything else to do other than deliver mail?

Hello! I wanted to show off a few of the companion characters in my game ROADPOCALYPSE.
I think these renderings game out great. The eventual goal is to re-make them into 1-bit style to match style of the game. What do you all think so far?

Tough as nails veteran. Armed with a M60 he is a one man army. Loves to roll his own cigarettes.

Former sheriff now turned gun for hire. She likes her big gun is isn't afraid to use it!

Scavenger and relic enthusiast. Her wide variety skills can help you get out of tough situations.

I am not quite ready to get my game up on steam and offer keys, but I want those who are early backers to be able to donate if they want to. I will generate keys manually for these people in the future and offer non-steam versions to them as well.

So what I propose is to offer a direct Paypal donation button on my games page.

Is this against the rules on Itcho.io? I am not trying to circumvent their donation system but I do not see a way to set it up without offering downloads. My game won't have any official downloads ready until December of this year.

I could release one of the setup programs, what would you guys/gals recommend I do?

If this is against the rules I will remove it immediately from the page.

Oh wow I didn't realize Python dropped compatibility. Honestly I think that is a poor reason, because any EXE can be unsafe no matter the language it was written in. Kind of a bit bonkers that a simple terminal game won't run on anything Windows 10 or greater. This is why I think I made great choice sticking to Pure Basic over Python (bytecode is a slower than  compiled anyway) after all these years because it will run on any version of Windows based upon NT.

Sorry for the rant but its less about security and more about forcing conformity. I do have a laptop with Windows 10 so I will give this another try when I can. Thank you for though for looking into this.

Tried to play it but got this error:

Program cannot start.

API-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll is missing.

Is this not supported on all versions of Windows?

That Advertisement is the most hilarious thing ever. Well done!

Awesome! thanks you!

Hello! The compiled version works fine, but if I compile the source code it will close randomly with no error after 10 seconds or so. I haven't changed anything.

Are there any special compiler settings needed for this? Whats weird is it doesn't do this on Windows 7, only on Windows 11. I'll gladly donate a few bucks if you can help me figure this out. Thanks!
