Eggcelent. A shell of a good time. Really cracked me up. I'm not yolking. But seriously this was amazing and if you ever continue the story I would so love to play more!

So adorable! Love love love all the art! I think I got to like day 19 or so, but I had to stop playing because my eyes started hurting. I feel like this could have been nicer to my eyes if the assets didn't get smaller and smaller. Maybe more static, but the player moves the camera around an increasingly bigger and bigger room? Either way, the game looks lovely and very polished and I love all the little cafe dot easter eggs like the different staff members hidden in there. Great job!
Took me a bit, but I finally beat the game! This was really fun and looks great! The sound design was quite good, too! I especially liked the little pancake creatures in level 2, their sound is satisfying lol. The key bindings could be improved though as I found it kind of awkward to hit Q or J when using the arrow keys. Maybe change the attack from Q to G? Also, it took me way too long to discover I could scroll through the recipes with the scroll wheel 😅 Overall had a great time with this one! Wonderful job!
Thanks so much! Yeah, we'll need to add an instant dialogue option rather than speeding up the scrolling in the future. But we were offered a bit of grace for this game jam (lost both our programmers 😭), so a completed demo version is now up if you wanna give it another shot. No more repeating dialogue! (or at least there wasn't when I play tested it)
And thanks about the potion puzzles! RollForThings on our team made all the puzzle logic and potion book layout and they are just so fun.! I wonder if you can figure out the cat's eye tincture and strength draught 👀
Love this idea! Big fan of wordle and this was a bit hard to wrap my brain around but quite enjoyable once I did. Needed to take notes to solve it, so if you want to update this game, I would recommend little bubbles next to each letter that tells you what your previous guess was. Also have an animation to show the wheel spinning so the change isn't so disorienting.
Overall a great game! Here is a screenshot of my first solve!
I'm more of an artist than a writer (check out my itch page for some examples of my work!) Would love to work with someone or maybe a small team on a game! Open to ideas, but if no one has one, I was thinking some sort of heist game based on The Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist. Let me know if you're interested in working together! 😊
Really great game! Loved the feel of it. The attacks felt heavier or lighter when you changed sizes. The art is simple, cute, and clear. The sound feed back and screen shake makes it feel like I'm doing really good damage or impact. I would also put some sort of feedback for when the player gets hurt, like a sound, or some sort of push back. Really really great job!
I beat it! You tricked me in that second level and I never trusted your directions onward haha. Really great concept, the keyboard layout (to me) feels great. Thumbs naturally rest on space and it's very comfortable. The art is so charming and the music is perfect. Would love to see more from this. You did such a good job in such a short time!
