Hey there! What stage are you at with her?
And thanks, I'm glad you like it!

Thanks as always!
- [Bug] Certain things seem to undo the Coffee (Abby Apartment, Something at the Occult Shop [either the Old Perfume or Zoe's Brew])
*I looked into this, and I'm having a hard time figuring out the cause right now, but I'm going to try and have it fixed by the time .27 rolls around!
- [Bug] Mindy in the Aisle - CG has her Sprite underneath (is visible due to transparency), second CG loads over the other
*This has been fixed!
- [Continuity Error] Phone Event, Gina Calls you meet in the morning before the Night Gym Vist if the two events happen on the same Night/Day transition (so it goes Night to Day then back to Night)
*This has been fixed!
- [Continuity Error] Gina Break-Room Talk, Shift continues in the breakroom
*This has been fixed!
- [Bug] Gina Stage 9, shakes add 3 instead of 1
*This is actually intentional, and was added for all stages where multiple milkshakes are purchased. You start buying Gina multiple milkshakes per day, and the number is supposed to reflect that.
- [Visual Bug] Becca Stage 4 Swimsuit, Beccas middle finger is dislocated
*After a trip to the ER, Becca has been fixed!
- [Bug] Overheard at the Shop, back at the dorm there is no Sprite of Priya (no error message either)
*Priya now exists
- [Bug] Beach, Zoe Stage 1 Talk, regular Sprite over swimsuit
*Also fixed- this happened in a handful of areas.
- [Text Error] Tia Stage 3 "Bigger tips get bigger tips. They're out there for a reason" (I believe it is meant to be "Bigger tits get bigger tips.")
*Actually, this was intentional. I know the saying is the second one, but I had Tia put her own spin on it.
- [Bug] Becca Stage 6 Event (Joins Work) Player "You knew I worked here." ([player_name] is in plain text, not as a character name)
*Fixed!
- [Bug] Lilly Stage 6, Filled and Overfull Sprites are shrunk (scaling issue)
*Thanks- I'm working on some scaling issues, and some images came out wonky.
Glad to see you're still playing! And yeah, I still have plans for the professor, she's just been lost in the shuffle.
I'm starting to expand the scope of The Dorm House, and I have ideas to include a variety of fetishes I originally didn't plan to cater to. Pregnancy of some kind is pretty high up on the list, since I feel like that goes pretty hand in hand with WG and BE content!
Thanks again! I definitely sped through in the earlier versions, and I can see the difference in those vs. what I've been making with the newer events. That means slowing down and longer gaps between versions, but that'll mean less need for future reworks!
I definitely appreciated the suggestions; it helps show me what everyone else is looking for in the game as well!
A new version should be coming through shortly, where you just need to load the save and it should patch it! It worked for me, but if it doesn't work for you then you'll likely need to create a new save.
But if you want to try one more thing before making a new save, and you have a way to enable console commands, try: in the console set
- gina_stage = 8
- event_gina_painting_gift_seen = True
- gina_milkshake_banned = False
- inv_sweetmilk_elixir_powder = False
I have a future solution for those that don't want to force a character to lose weight to see certain events, but I wanted to avoid having situations where say, Zoe is at stage 4 in your game, but suddenly an event triggers where Zoe is stage 0. I feel like that breaks the immersion a bit too much.
Also, take the Becca/Lily bra shopping as an example. I created unique sprites for them for that scene at specifically those stages; they wouldn't quite match up at any other stage.
I plan on using the Movie Theater to let players purchase events that are technically "missed" (I.E, a Zoe stage 0 event with another housemate at a higher stage), as an alternative way to view content, if you don't want to have them lose weight. The Zoe issue is a genuine game breaking glitch though, I'll need to block Zoe from being able to lose weight before the player goes through all of the restraint brew events.
Thanks for such a detailed post! I appreciate things like this more than you know, it helps me decide what direction to take things and what needs fixing.
1. The gossip system is both what I think gives the game the biggest difference compared to what others in the genre offer IMO, but it is also INSANELY time consuming. Just one character gossiping about another is 100 unique lines of dialogue. It needs so much attention for accuracy, that I've made it a point to slowly correct issues. The real challenge is since I've made most of the gossip lines in the first versions of the game, the characters have different/ much more defined personalities, to where a lot of the gossip lines need tweaking. I've take the approach to where I'll hyper focus on one character to update/add to their content. Lily is actually next on the list, so expect her content to see some big updates!
The gossip system is actually the sole reason I haven't added any other Housemates yet; When the time comes for me to add Harper, I'll need to create 1000 unique gossip lines; 100 from each other girl towards Harper, and 500 total for Harper alone. I want to do quality over quantity, so that'll take me some time. And when I finally decide to add a 7th, that'll be 12,000...
2. Creating more antagonistic characters is definitely a focus for me. Soemone mentioned to me a while back that everyone seems to just be on board with it, and I realized I needed to create more conflict. I'll definitely be doing more of that in the future.
3. The school was a dangerous for me, since it opens up so many possibilities that I've needed to hold off on until I'm ready lol. It's the exact reason the mall hasn't opened yet. There's many more characters planned, but I wanted to start and get through the volleyball team/harper's story before splitting off and leaving too many things unfinished!
Work is going to be pretty calm for a bit (90% sure, I never know) so I plan on taking advantage of that time to both clean up content that needs updating as I continue to add!
I feel like Lily is the next housemate to receive some major attention, as I haven't done much with her recently. Becca received a significant amount in version .26, and I want to work on Lily just as much in the next.
Poor Mia needs some attention, she has the least amount of events in the game and while I've put more focus into the other four, she's clearly the one whose been left out the most.
Thanks so much! I've had a lot of experience playing games in this genre, and wanted to try my own attempt at it. Who is your favorite character?
The amusement park is already on my list of locations to make! I was going to use it as one of the locations for "dates" which I plan to make a feature in the future. I'm really, REALLY liking the food truck idea. I'd set it up similar to the restaurant, where you can feed random characters.
The game has already reached the point to where there are a lot of loose ends, so I'm trying to avoid adding too many new "things". Otherwise my vision outpaces my ability lol.
Next version will be dropping soon!
I'm not 100% sure yet, to be honest!
I wanted to change the way some of the housemates react to weight gain, and I chose Zoe since she seemed like the best choice. I've really liked how she adds more antagonistic energy to the dynamic, and I plan to keep her pretty resistant up until maybe the last stage or two where she comes to accept it with the MC, but she'll still keep up her aggressive personality with the others.
Sorry for vanishing into the void :(
Another insane work week, but I'm going to go into overdrive later tonight and tomorrow morning, with the hope of dropping this tomorrow in the evening.
Things should be clearing up for me after this next week, so I'll be able to start pushing through content again soon!
I appreciate the kind words! I think it's important to have good characters, and I'm working towards expanding their personalities and depth each version. I especially want to get the housemates prioritized before Harper becomes an official Housemate!
I've considered adding "cheats" to the game, or just reducing some of the time spent to level up stats. I cut down on the grind for Mindy's stages by nearly half, but I want to find the right balance between two long and two short. All of that still needs some tweaking as well.
Work has been genuinely insane for me this week lol. I put in close to 60 hours, which left me no energy to be in the headspace to write. I've already gotten 22 new events done, but I'm midway through the peak of the Bella and Kristy content. I've got to get at LEAST through that before I drop the new version! I'm pushing for next Tuesday
Yeah, I feel like Mia didn't quite turn out how I wanted to. When I get back to focusing on her, she'll likely see a sprite update, or I'll leave her as-is and focus more on a new apple-shaped housemate!
I appreciate all the feedback - this really helps me get an idea of what everyone else wants to see! I've got my personal favs, but I want to ensure all growth styles are done right.
