Its... actually kinda good! Im not surprised why most people got stuck (the animatronic has the batteries), im pretty sure it will only give you the batteries after you pick up the flashlight because I swear I interacted with it a lot before I got the flashlight and never got batteries. After that 10 minute hurdle, the game actually starts making sense and being fun! The scanner mechanic I didn't fully understand, I thought I had to change the verticality with like my mouse, but apprently you just need to move around until the cross is in the 0 meter mark and scan. The pick up range for items felt really small, and the UI sounds felt a little loud. That being said, the game looks good, and if it had more time to be tested or had clearer instructions it would be a really solid entry.

Not half bad, I like the main characters design, it's cool, and making destruction mechanics is always a pain so it's great that you were able to implement that. My main complaint is that it got quite tedious after a while, increasing the digging speed or adding upgrades in the dead ends would make it so that running into dead ends wouldn't feel so punishing and time consuming. Also, in order to make the textures not blurry, in Godot just find a dropdown menu in the sprite2d that says filter or something like that, and change it from linear to nearest.
Thanks for leaving a comment! I was considering adding a way to make the dialouge faster, and even I added a way to skip it for testing purposes because even I got tired of it, but removed it because it wasnt polished. Thanks for suggesting using a different browser, im using edge and it works fine, so if anyone else stumbles across this try using another browser.
I really liked the intro with the lighter turning on and the main menu appearing! At first I was very confused, and it took me a bit to figure out how the controls work, because it seems that every key is matched to a specific view and isn't dependent on where you are already looking. I feel that I made it pretty far, I injected the serum, and I could hear the beating sound and I assumed that I had to match the beat, but I couldn't figure out what to click. Other than that though, the visuals are solid, the sounds are cool, but not much humor which is a bit of a shame.
Pretty cool! A little confused by the story, and it ended rather quickly, but that can be expected from a game jam game. The digging mechanic was fun, and having to keep the torches on was actually really nice, there was a moment where I was frantically digging trying to get to the next torches and that was awesome! I kinda see how the theme was implemented, but not really, I feel that if the game was longer then the story would provide more context for erosion, but alas. Good job!
Thank you so much for such detailed feedback! As for skipping dialouge and adding checkpoints, that was always something that I kept procrastinating and well... yeah. As for the lag, I will be looking into that. I didnt have much time to test the web build, and there were some bugs with it that had to be fixed last minute. So it could be that that's what caused the issues. Again, thank you so much for your feedback, it really does help a lot.
Love the voiceovers and the graphics lol. Suprisingly, it was quite fun, however, I do feel that the fact that you lose the biscuits you have instead of taking damage defeats the purpose of your hitbox getting bigger. The risk of growing is kinda countered by the fact that you no longer take damage, instead it is transferred to the cookies. Of course, the rest of the actual gameplay is a little janky but that can be expected from a game jam, and it was more funny than annoying. Also, I didn't quite understand what was happening when the whole grond turned red, was that my signal to jump? I just kept taking damage whenever that happened.
I do like the idea of Wordle but with biscuits, and if the game had time to have more polish with music and soundfx it could be a solid game to play for a little while. However, since the combination of biscuits is completely random, whereas with Wordle you know the combination of letters would be a real word, you can kinda predict what the answer would be. Perhaps adding in some cool rules to each biscuit like X biscuit will always be 2 tiles away from Y biscuit could make there be a cool strategy in figuring out where each biscuit goes, as opposed to just guessing. Good job though!
Very cool! I played as the spider and found that the healing items were really op because my spider would just stall and heal to the max, very fun! I love the art and the game is very charming (in a rather sinister way). My only major complaint is that I didn't really feel many of the downsides from buying the abilites. Like, I knew they where there, but during the actual gameplay I could very easily see how my spider was getting boosted, but it was kinda unclear when any of the downsides where kicking in. This made it so I didn't really feel very punished for what I chose. I feel like adding some more feedback or effects would make it so that I actually go 'Oh i would have survived that if i chose X thing' instead of 'oh dang i just kinda got owned there.'
I was waiting for a rhythm game player to play this! Im not an expert at rhythm games, have just always thought they were cool and dabbled a little with them. I was hoping to get a chance to see if someone whos more into the genre would like it, and im glad you did! As for your feedback, I was originally planning to have a short drum loop in the background to mark the beat, but i was just too tired from the project and just wanted to submit the game. Thanks for playing and liking it!
I loved the simple two color artstye, and the vibes were cool! I also liked the itch page, it was cool. However, I found myself just stumbling around, only using the rocks for the first section, and just getting to the end in less than 5 minutes. At least, im assuming that was the end, because there was a continue button, but it did nothing when I pressed it. I feel like the rock mechanic could have been better implemented into the game, because there genuinely was no need to use it. This just made it feel like an extremely short, very simple, platformer.
I was intrigued because I also made a rhythm based game! However, at first I was let a little confused. I clicked the tuto button, but I feel like an explanation on what the sliders actually do would have helped. I found myself just messing around with the sliders, not hearing much of a change, and magically getting different scores. I just kept doing this and every time they gave me a higher score until I got 108/100 which I wouldn't have assumed to be possible. I also couldn't really tell where the theme was implemented? But it was funny to mess around with stuff.
First impressions were great! I liked the art and the music. However, the lack of a fullscreen button made me miss the instructions at the top of the screen, and I was very confused for a little bit. After noticing though, they didnt help me very much as the controls were... not what im used too. Im sure that after using them for a while I would get used to it, but it made the whole game feel very finicky. I sadly didnt make it very far due to all of this. But the game looks really cool!
It was quite good! The art was nice and the idea is cool. However, it took a while to actually understand how things work. The tutorial could have been more clear on the fact that space starts the recording, and you need to walk back to your ghost to end it. Simply stating that would have made it much more clear than just saying Space to summon ghost. However, it was fun! It was shorter than I expected, and so I was a little disappointed that the puzzles didn't get all that interesting. Just as I was starting to understand and like the mechanic, it was over.
Cool and creative! I love typing quickly and this was fun! Although, after a little while i think I spammed e for reloading the paper and it broke? I got stuck and couldn't add the paper again. Other than that though, I like the idea and it was executed in a cute way. My only real complaint is that I feel that the typewriter gaining the ability to type by itself isn't a very interesting reward for filling up the meter. Regardless, great idea, solid execution.
Thanks for playing, sadly the game had to be rushed last minute due to unexpected issues not letting me be with my computer for the last day and a half of the game jam, which is why it’s an early submission. Jumping is not intentional, I have no clue how that ended up happening lol. Never heard of Car Bomb, I will be sure to check them out!
