Hey Sexy People!
We extended the jam another day… not by popular demand… but because we messed up on the end date. Needs to land on the ides of March, because we are going to kill this jam like Julius Caesar! Also it’s my birthday… 😁!
SO now is the time to put on some of that last minute polish! I’ve also gotten SO many questions about if the gamepad is a requirement…. Yes, yes it is. It’s really easy to hook up, if your game is compatible and you are using a mainstream engine (Godot, Unity, Unreal). If you are having issues, or you want some guidance, just join our discord and ask for some help. We got peeps who can help. Somone just dropped a guide actually on how to hook up the gamepad if you need that. Also, you can float any last-minute polish ideas or questions by Zion or I there if you please before the jam ends. Also if you want to win the popular vote… suggest you schmooze with the people in the discord!
Also PLEASE ensure your game is web compatible. We got a guide posted on the jam to follow for best practice on posting your game on itch. The judges will not download any games and play locally. Thanks for understanding… I don’t want to catch your crud on my compy, the kids give me enough of that!
Best Regards -Max
yep! Let us know if you can’t… Also Join discord if you want a fast response… and super awesome people to talk to about your game: https://discord.gg/vSfXMeC2BX
Quick reality check for everyone building:
This is an arcade-first jam, so ask yourself:
• Can someone understand my game in 5 seconds?
• Are runs short?
• Can players instantly retry?
• Is the core loop obvious?
If someone walks up mid-game, can they tell what’s happening? If not, pls simplify.
This jam reward: • Clarity • Tension • Replayability
Not feature overload.
An interesting game. I’ don’t know how to win. what is the objective?
I’m not sure I understand the title or what is supposed to be happening… ¯_(ツ)_/¯
There is no gamepad integration, no objective, and it does not meet the “one more run” theme since I don’t want to do one more run w/o an objective. “Please don’t do that” I suppose would go to the name? But I don’t get it. I think you can do better.
This game is great! Love the raptors on the 3rd level! Also the grow big power up 🤣
Couple critiques:
- Why can’t the guy jump?
- Level 1 spawned me w/ no cops once. It was kind of strange, probably a glitch?
- I spawned a couple times right on top of cops and died right away.
- The level is a little dark, and the angle from the top down makes it a little harder to see
- Would be nice to have a tutorial or instructions at the front, understanding the use of singular tnt and large timed TNT, what you are looking for (vaults), And tactics that you expect the player to employ (I did see the tips though, (like use the roof) which is great.
ultimately this is a great game, def on theme and the gamepad is well integrated! Nice work!
Some of you asked for examples.
No, dummy!
If we give you examples, that defeats the whole point.
This theme is not about copying clever twists. It’s about breaking something players didn’t even know could break.
Think of the one mechanic your game is supposed to have…
And remove it. Flip it. Corrupt it. Weaponize it.
If we can predict it, it’s not it; If a player can guess what happens next, it’s not it.
We’re not looking for “interesting.” We’re looking for: “Who let you ship this?”
Stop asking for inspiration and start causing problems.
Close this page. Open your engine. Break something important.
Then make it addictive.
Get to work!
Okay… so remember how we said there were prizes? Well, it’s not just money as earlier said.
We’re excited to officially announce that CraftPix.net is sponsoring ONE MORE RUN IV 🔥 That means… more power-ups for you.
Top 3 Overall Winners will each receive:
🎁 1-Year CraftPix Membership
Just so you know, CraftPix is an online store and resource specializing in high-quality premium and free 2D game assets for indie developers, studios, and hobbyists.
If you win, you’ll get: Access to thousands of 2D sprites, characters, environments & UI packs Commercial-ready assets Massive time savings on future projects A full year to build without worrying about art bottlenecks
Huge thank you to the CraftPix team for supporting indie devs and backing the chaos 🙌
Reminder: The Theme Is…
“Please Don’t Do That.”
Make something that feels wrong. Break a core mechanic. Flip expectations. Do the thing players beg you not to do.
Then do it anyway.
Hey guys! We’ve decided to reward early game jam joiners.
Perks for Joining by the 15th of February:
-
We’ll promote your game in our social media posts and drive traffic to you for those of you who post early
-
We will play test all of your games first and give feedback faster than any other person who joins late.
If you plan to build a game, it’s best to join the jam soon:
Oh also wanted to mention in case nobody’s noticed that we picked up a sponsor! Check it out. Makes the prize that much more sweeter… Like a box of chocolates. Too soon?
And just to mention, maybe it doesn’t need mentioning, folks in our community are more than likely going to get their games ported faster to an arcade than any other person in the history of man. Because this is something new and different. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out our main page. We’re building arcades for games you can deploy. It’s pretty cool.
Hey guys!
Happy Valentine’s Day! If you’re feeling bored or alone, maybe participate in a sweet game jam today! Check out our One More Run “Please don’t do that” addition theme! It is just what you need to get over those Valentine’s Day blues 💙.
If you’re feeling blue “please don’t do that” or if you don’t have anything to do “please don’t do that” I think this jam’s going to be fun!
See you over there
We are officially encouraging you to make terrible choices.
For real, we are. That’s why we themed our latest jam “Please Don’t Do That.”
This is the jam that favours games where:
The jump button deletes itself The tutorial lies The pause menu attacks Gravity files for divorce
We don’t want safe or clean. We want games that make people shout,“WHY would you do that?!” “…okay wait. Run that back.”
Build something that feels illegal… Something that shouldn’t work… A game that players argue about.
If it’s chaotic but addictive, you’re on the right track.
💰 Up to $300 in prizes 🎨 1-Year CraftPix memberships (Top 3) 🕹️ Real Luxodd arcade port potential 🔥 Dev spotlight + interviews

Here is our last announcement if you want to see how it’s done.
The next one we’ll see if we can get your games filmed at a live venu with our arcade, possibly in front of our paying customers.
