Viability: The game is playable through many stages until the errors mentioned. I do think the playable elements so far work together and the death screen works too! But I think something is wrong with the overlay on it.

Presentation: The rules are understandable! I could read the menu but it was a bit small and did not scale with fullscreen. Might be a setting in the inspector you have to adjust for that. I understand the movement and sprites are still very WIP, but I think adjusting the player movement to be a bit easier to control will go a long way.

Theme: The theme is so good! Such a creative concept with nice pixel art to go with it. Y'all nailed this.

Engagement: The game is very creative and I would love to see how you two continue to expand on this! I can also really appreciate the little extra details such as the animations!

Overall, I really like what you have so far! I also understand its very WIP and there's errors that can't be predicted.

- Luke

Viability: Can confirm its playable from start to end! I beat the boss!

Presentation: The rules and controls are undertandable but I think adding them to your start screen would be ideal in the final build.

Theme: The description of the game helps me undertand what you're going for as well as the general layout of a platformer, but I would love to see art to go along with this concept. It may also allow others not as familiar as game dev to understand what you're going for. The current build did fuel my imagination though, if you are low on time perhaps you could see how abstract you could make it without details...? because I understood the idea with just shapes. I do hope you get to add art tailored to the style you're going for though. Your concept gives you fun options!

Engagement: As mentioned earlier, the game did capture my imagination! I think with art it will be even more exciting! I did enjoy playing, although the default playground parkour physics do feel a bit too slide-y and sensitive to me. Perhaps adjusting the movement to be a bit less sensitive would be a good idea if possible?

As for the boss, it suprised me at first (in a good way). I wasn't expecting a bullet hell level! I quickly got used to their attacks and timing. I think this happens quite a bit for bosses in games in general but I think diverse attacks and catching the player off-guard would make it more exciting! I actually think the bullets should have multiple randomized attacks if possible, one can be the staggered pattern and then maybe the boss fires them all at the same time as a suprise attack?

I do wonder... What happens when you die to the boss? Where do you restart? I wouldn't be too harsh with that personally. I'd have the player restart on the boss level if they die. I'd also possibly consider health pickups in the boss arena if you choose to adjust boss difficulty.

Overall one fun, complete level or two with a story! Would love to see where this goes! -Luke

Controls: WASD move, Space bar to shoot

Viability : It's a complete story!

Presentation : Very well presented! I knew what things were without illustrations but could be fun with them too!

Engagement : I thought the Hazbin Hotel joke was funny! I did the choice to buy the yaoi at Newbury LMAO. I didn't know what some of the other brands were but that wasnt too much of a big deal.

Theme : Very fun theme! Not too many consequences in the game but it was a fun story and didn't quite feel like it needed dire stakes.

Overall very fun!

Viability : Feels like a very complete game!

Presentation : I understand everything thats happening. This game is very relatable cause this is what I deal with all the time lol. This game is very anxiety provoking cause this is basically just my life.

Engagement : I felt engaged and loved the little descriptions! I personally would maybe consider other routes than concluding with ONLY the quicktime event. Or other routes to make it easier? I found it a bit too challenging (or I'm just bad) but I wish there were maybe other ways to get a positive ending?  I never got one :( This could maybe just be a preference thing for me and other people love that part, thats fine! You also may not have time to change that this late and thats ok!

Theme : Love the illustrations and color scheme! Very satisfying game to look at. Your art is so good.

Made me hungry. I'd love BLT with chipolte mayo and swiss. 11/10. (don't play on an empty stomach).

Very cute, short, wholesome game that reminds me of the example Twine game Space Frog! Sometimes keeping it short and sweet is ok and I think it works here but more could be added if you wish.

Viability: Definitly has a start, middle, and end!

Presentation: Very vivid descriptions, could perhaps benefit from illustrations if u have the time.

Theme: Love the story! Love the theme! Very wholesome. Would play this if I need a feel-good game.

Engagement: I felt invested in my choices, but perhaps some more options to make the griffin feel better when you make a bad choice, even if for rp or personal satisfaction purposes? When I accidentally spilt the water and made their affliction worse I felt so so bad- like when you accidentially step on your pets foot and have to hug them and apologize for an hour straight.

Overall: Very fun. Would name my griffin Peter.

I think you have a really strong start! I overheard the plot and wanted to give it a try. I love the theme! Concept, characters, world, all very strong! I love Chamomile!! I felt engaged in my choices especially talking with them. The game is well presented as I can clearly see the narrative. If you have the time or come back to this in the future I’d love to see some art, maybe chat expressions for talking with Chamomile? When it’s finished I’m sure the game will be more viable. Had fun with your wip regardless!

Very strong start! Love the theme! The options available are well presented. I felt engaged with my choices. Once it’s finished I’m sure it will be viable and well put together based on what I’ve seen so far.
