Also, just to add — while I’m really into the current creature-building roguelike idea, I’m totally open to exploring other game concepts together if we click as a team. If my idea doesn’t end up being the one we want to commit to, I’m down to keep experimenting until we find something that really clicks for both of us. For me, it’s all about finding a partner who’s creative, dedicated, and excited to build something original — whatever that ends up being.
Also, I’d love to start with some game jams or small prototypes to explore ideas and get a feel for working together before we commit to a full projectHey — I’m looking for a creative partner to team up with on a weird 2D game idea. This would ideally be a full-time duo project, built from the ground up.
The Core Idea A grotesque, strange 2D roguelike where you build creatures from modular body parts and use them to defend a statue from waves of enemies.
Visual tone: fleshy, organic, unsettling — but stylized
Core loop: build creatures → survive waves → get new parts → repeat
Roguelike elements like randomization and replayability are likely, but design is still wide open Right now the goal is to explore and prototype the idea, not lock in details
About Me
5+ years of game dev experience
Released The Unfound Soul (free on Steam)
Currently launching my first commercial game, Sweet Slaughter
I’m a full-time indie dev focused on code and design I've learned a lot about design through finishing and releasing games, and I'm confident handling that side technically. But this isn’t about me leading the design — I want us to figure things out together and shape the vision as a team.
I’ll take care of the coding, but design should be something we both explore and build together.
Who I’m Looking For
A 2D artist/visual designer interested in grotesque, creature-heavy visuals
Someone excited to shape the visualidentity of a strange, unique game
Ideally full-time or seriously committed to a full game project
Long-term, this would be a 50/50 revenue split
Timing
I'm still finishing Sweet Slaughter, so the experimenting and game jam phase would start around mid-August. I’m just putting this out early to start the conversation and hopefully find the right person.
If this sounds interesting to you — and you’re into weird art, creature design, and building something original as a duo — let’s talk.
