So you could in theory hold forward button and move 2.4 tiles? What would happen if you release the button? I think if it would always snap to the >next< tile it would be almost indistinguishable from normal crawler movement (if the movement is automatically continued). If you can stop at any point and stay there, it might be problematic because then you would basically use "substeps". If you are "snapped back" to tile 2, I think it would feel rather terrible. But I am not sure if that would be allowed.

Your Picture doesnt really fit to what you are describing. As you placed the grid on top of the red line. So you are always just moving from edge to edge.

But assuming you mean edge to edge, it's still not clear what you mean. I made a few examples:

Green Arrow: Thats how it should work. You press a button, you move a whole tile.

Purple Arrow: You freely move around, can even move to the wall, release the button, you are now snapped back to the purple circle. This is not allowed.
Yellow Arrow: You can only move along the red line, but you can do so frely. Once you release you are snapped back to the closest tile. This might or might not be allowed (Zooperdan will make the call). I can assure you that it will feel horrible to play though.

I don't have a spectrum to test, but I got a question: Can you interact somehow during combat? Or is the combat 100% automatic and you wait for the outcome? Like, can you flee or take a potion during combat?

Do you also plan to release a physical version at some point?

Great idea, nice Art! I just checked the inyhouse app, but as you can already see in the screenshots here some assets (like most monitors) appear quite washed out if zoomed in.

Any way to disable some of these features in the currentl version? Used nvidia control panel to reduce some stuff, but doesnt seem to have a major impact. Once indoor framerate drops down to 1 fps, which jumps to 3 fps every now and then.

Ah, alright! Yeah, now I see and understand your previous comment. Thanks! Will give it another try and try to avoid saving with dead enemies infront of me.

Great entry! I did encounter some issues however which then also stopped me from playing through the game unfortunately.

First bug I encountered was by loading during having cooldown on my spear. The Cooldown will then get stuck, even in the loaded game. Once you restart the game, it fixes the bug.

The more severe issue was invisible walls. If I load the game I get invisible walls which I cannot pass anymore. There is this huge underwater room with the key at the top. You enter the room by jumping into a tile in the center of the room and going down. and then forward. However that was not possible anymore after reloading. I then replayed the game to the same point and it worked again. I saved, but died at a point later, reloaded, and now had a different invisible wall I couldnt pass. So basically load/save wasn't possible for me as it broke the game.

Thanks! That works!

As you are fixing bugs for a post jam update I wanted to mention that the minimap was not showing to me (and returning to the classroom crashed the game as mentioned already

My full impression will follow in video form later on :)

Also tried on two different PCs with the same error.

Windows 10, German Version

Didnt work for me. It always crashes when pressing C saying that VCRUNTIME140D.dll is missing, and then ucrtbased.dll is missing. Already uninstalled and reinstalled the visual C 2015 redistributable but it still wont work,

Hey there! That also happens with NVidia GPUs, using a GTX 1700 here.

Important things to know:
1. You need the mouse to click on things
2. Click on the Snail in the top of the interface to switch from smooth transitions to instant steps.

Oki, thank you!

The Patch you are mentioning here isn't available yet, is it?

Alrighty, no worries, thanks for the reply! :)

Hrm, I have only played it in this version then and found that the movement is just not feeling good and fluent enough. The game being turn based is perfectly fine.

Here are my impressions of the game - I was about to record it in another video for the German audience and would have waited for the patch if there was another patch coming as the game description indicated.

Are there still plans for another update to improve the movement?

Unfortunately the game will cause youtube copyright claims. So I'd advise any streamer/youtuber to disable the music.

Cool, thanks for the reply :)

Heyho! Is that music licensed or royalty free? Asking to not get issues on youtube. I'd just disable the music otherwise. Basically having a look at all games in the jam. :)
