The models are so great! And the controls are simple but intuitive.
I did have some issues with ending the first level- the Return to Menu button was missing for a little bit- but the game is beatable and complete, good work!
Thanks for making this game and submitting it!

This one really caught my eye- I LOVE the background art!
I had a little bit of trouble with the prairie level, I immediately die when it starts- but the next level is unlocked, so the game is still beatable.
Thank you so much for making this! I love the concept!

Very atmospheric, and the notes have a certain air of unsettling creepiness to them... I really wanted to know what happened!
The house was definitely a bit too big, though, and not knowing how many notes there were left made it a little odd to decide when to stop playing, but the effect still landed- I was on edge and curious the whole time.
Good job, thanks for posting!

This is a very beautiful work of art, thank you for making and sharing it. All of the details you added hit hard, especially knowing they had all happened to you. You have a good eye for design, and are clearly unafraid to put your heart and soul into your work. I'm glad to see you're investing your talents in game development, and I can't wait to see what you bring together next.

This was absolutely beautiful, and the sound design was great!
The one thing that discouraged me was how fast Sarah undoes my work- she moves about three times as fast, doesn't slow down like the player does when toggling a candle, and knows exactly where to find each one. It was pretty disheartening to see my candle count tick down as she cleared the floor beneath me, haha...
BUT- I did finish the game. I'm definitely following your work now, I can't wait to see what you make next!

Nice job!
I really liked the feel of playing it!
Definitely tricky once you have a few tables seated, maybe having candles gain a little time when you tend to a table?
Or maybe I just need to get gud, haha...
Thanks for making this game, great work!

Haha, no worries! I only meant I get jumpscared easily!

First off, I love the bears.
The sounds, the animation, the models, I love them. (Even when they attack me.)
I also really liked the cabin, and the view of the forest- the flashlight and the fog were great little touches!
I did definitely get confused (and eaten) a few times before I finally understood the orders, and the system for making coffee- a little more info in the game description might have helped there, just to get players started on the right track!
But ultimately, good job for making and posting this! And your dad was right, I fully expect drugs in the sequel, haha...

Thank you!
That's a good idea I hadn't considered yet- I may do that for the post-jam release, thank you!
And thanks for playing the game, too!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your saying so!
Thanks for taking the time to play!

Haha, yeah, and the DM is currently enjoying things a little more than the players... XD
Thank you for playing! The drink-dragging definitely makes it too easy, I agree.
Good feedback, thank you for writing your review!

Thank you!
Yeah, sorry about that- I'm not exactly sure why it's doing that, but it definitely takes the fun out for no good reason.
Thank you for playing and writing up your review!

Thanks!
Yep, I almost had the background done and added by the deadline, haha!
I agree about the drinks, it makes it less fun.
Thanks for writing up your feedback, I appreciate it!

Ooh, sorry, I'm just replying to comments now-
You only have to drag them onto the customer.
I'll be posting a post-jam version pretty soon, in case you want to give it a shot- otherwise, thanks for trying out my game!

Thank you!
I've already drawn and added a background for the post-jam version, because you're so right! The gray backdrop is a little bland...
Thank you so much for giving me your feedback!

Thanks!
Yes, those are two things I fixed immediately after the submission deadline, haha...
If you happen to check back soon, I'll upload the version with an illustrated background!
At any rate, thank you for testing out my entry!

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to figure our that squash and stretch motion in Godot.
And thank you for trying out my game!

Thank you!
That's a good point, I didn't add logic for the customers to get upset and leave yet- so it's a sure win, haha...
Thanks for giving it a shot and writing a review!

Thank you!
Clicking on tables with coins while nearby should add the GP to your total.
Your entry was great, by the way! And thanks for trying my game!

This was such a beautiful looking little game! Good work, I love looking at it so much.
Also, the gameplay loop is solid, and complete. And with voice work too!
Is the one disappointed customer from the tutorial mandatory?
Regardless, I love it, great job!

Very nice! I love the atmosphere! Sound design, UI, lighting, environment, all of this was super slick!
I was pretty lost for most of the game, and I'm pretty sure I ran right over the alien once. I got jump-scared when I won and the alarm went off, haha... but truly, good work! Thanks for making this game!

This game has great presentation, I was definitely creeped out- and the pause menu simply dimming the world around you is a great touch.
I was definitely confused about how to play, though, I never got a cup of coffee made. I tried turning off lights, I found the bag of beans in the back, and I tried using the scoop on everything, but nothing seemed to advance me further.
Is there a reason you can lift and move the machines?
Regardless, I really appreciated this atmosphere- you clearly know how to make a horror game feel unsettling!
Thank you for making this game, good work!

I love the art and atmosphere! Good polishing.
It was a little simple, but to be fair, as soon as I thought that it started to pick up (I think?) and get harder, so I was right back into it!
Great job. Thanks for making this!

This is super slick!
Very nice presentation, and plenty of item options!
It was a little easy, maybe my runs were blessed with good items though.
Thanks for making this!

This is pretty cool! I love the art style, the different kinds of enemies, and the fun shader effects on the player... Also, that map tileset is pretty effective.
Sometimes the enemies would spawn underneath me, and every once in a while the tentacle pull would still allow me to take damage, but otherwise I really enjoyed this game.

Thanks for making it!

Great work! I love the polished presentation, the cute characters, and the good music - the dance-y music is my favorite!

(1 edit)

Terrific music and great presentation! I'm severely platform-ly challenged, and so I couldn't get very far, sorry!
Two thoughts- the color palettes for the layers are a little unintuitive, I kept trying to land on the blue platforms in the blue world. Also, it would be nice to see both worlds in the background of both worlds.
Nicely done!

I agree, it's too fast. Thank you for the feedback! And thanks for playing!

Thank you! I agree, I made the camera angle and the speed a bit unwieldy. And SFX/music are noticeably missing, so I'll add them in earlier next Jam!

I really appreciate you playing, and taking the time to comment!

Thank you! Yes, the speed is a bit out of hand, and I realized too late that while you *can* play on mobile, right-handed people will find their entire hand blocking the screen...

So good catch on the camera angle, haha! I appreciate your telling me!

Yes, I agree- I'll prioritize SFX next Jam for sure, it really makes a difference!

Thank you for playing, and your feedback!

Thank you! It's not a skill issue, haha, I accidentally released this version at a wild speed. If you'd like, you can try the Post Jam version, which is a little more reasonable...

And thank you so much for playing! I'm grateful for the feedback!

(1 edit)

Yep, that was one of the first things I fixed for the Post-Jam version- this one is way too fast.

Thank you for playing! I really appreciate it!

Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun to make.

Yes, I agree- the score is pretty useless if you have no idea what it was, haha...

Thanks for playing! I really appreciate the feedback!

Thank you! I was surprised at how a few little sine functions made the motion feel way smoother.

Thank you so much for playing!

That's a good idea, or even putting the last highscore on the menu... 🤔

And thank you for playing!

Hey, thank you for playing! As part of my learning process, I'm working on a more polished post-jam version, so thank you for your feedback!

This is a good submission, thanks for making it!
I like the way you can do a lot from inside the buggy, that makes it more fun to do drive-by maneuvers.
I would say that the buggy is a bit hard to turn, and the lack of plants near the start really makes getting into the game loop tricky- I never quite figured out how long was too long to be away from the dome, because I only ever found 1-2 plants. (EDIT: Just played a round where 4 plants spawned near the start, and those first few upgrades really made the rest of the round more fun!)

Overall, great submission, I can't wait to see the next project you put out!

Very cool aesthetic! The excitement of rolling down the hill at top speed is also really fun!
It was a bit surprising sometimes to get moss on the rock, because I was avoiding green and didn't realize the branches also count. Even after that, it felt like the collision on the trees was a bit larger than I expected, but that may have been hard to gauge when I was going so fast.
I loved the joke at the end if you get any moss on the rock, haha, that was perfect...
