Did you work in a team?
1 man team - I had a good time!
Was the resolution a challenge?
The biggest hurdle was adding text to the screen that matched the resolution in Unreal Engine- it was largely done by hand, and I had to become way more familiar with the UE5 UI system than I was before!
Unfortunately, the HUD doesn't seem to appear on the compiled .exe, haha... Oh well!
What did you learn?
I learned a lot about the Unreal Engine, and several of its sub-systems, such as the texture and UI systems.

WorldAlignedTexture node is great for autotiling materials on static objects,
but don't use it on crates and other moving stuff.
I know, haha...
I tried to make it work a couple different ways, but had to release it as is at a certain point. What I really wanted was an automatic triplanar UV mapping, and I'm still not sure how to get that to work properly, but I'll keep at it in the next one!
Thank you for your feedback!
I've been thinking about this problem, and here's what I've managed to do with it.
It works fine with cubes, I haven't tested it on more complex shapes.
Oh my gosh, thank you for posting this! You are a champion, I appreciate you remembering this!
It looks cool, and a first person Kaiju simulator sounds interesting
Thanks for checking it out! :)
