fair point about increasing the difficulty

i'm glad you found it pleasing and entertaining though - thanks much!

hahaha, glad you found it fun - thanks!

aww, thanks much - glad you liked it!

Glad to hear it brought some joy! :D

And thanks much for the feedback, good idea! The things you hit are meant to be "ice holes"

🌪️🐧⚡

Glad you liked the aesthetics! And thanks much for playing and the feedback 🙏🏼

The countdown was meant to end the game once it was over. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to implement that in time for the submission

Penguin Approved 🐧🫡

thanks much! so glad you enjoyed playing it!

penguin go brrr

lolol, amazing to hear it's cat approved!

glad you enjoyed it, and more feedback to the user is definitely warranted

thanks again for playing!

this was made during a game jam, so limited time to finish... 😅. i appreciate your feedback and suggestion though!

hey thanks so much for playing and the comments, glad to hear you enjoyed it! :D

really solid entry!! 💯

i particularly liked the choice of music progression from level 1 to level 2 to the boss level - i could really feel the musical intensity increasing 📈

also, the overall aesthetic felt cohesive ✅. although, i felt two things took away from some of this cohesion and the "seriousness" of the game's narrative/tone: the enemies' bullets looked kinda like "balloons" and the seemingly "sad face" on the smaller enemy ships

anyway, again - great overall entry!

welcome, and good luck!

glad you enjoyed it!

and the teleporting feedback is realllllly helpful, definitely something to consider - thanks much!

cute, cohesive art style and little poke mechanic, lol! 💯

some feedback is below:

  1. on hitting enemies - i don't know if its lag or a "hit stop" but it feels aggressive/too long for me
  2. skip opening - allow the player to skip the opening scene at least after the first playthrough
  3. enemy ai - the enemies' movements seemed completely random and without purpose. maybe you could give them a function that's like "approach_player_x_percent_of_time(percent: float)"

good job on submitting 👍🏼

i think an improvement could be to add the curl ui directly by the armadillo so i don't have to look at three different things (1. my position, 2. bullets positions, and 3. readiness of curl). or even better, making it diegetic (e.g. the armadillo becomes shiny when it can roll)

haha, congrats! 🏆

and thanks much for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it!

I like the concept🚀!

My critique is that there are too many actions to handle at once for a new player (shielding, aiming, switching front/back cannons, shooting)

Possible Solution - Introducing each element of the core mechanics slowly over time

the "ready to serve Luxurious Trash" line was too funny! 😆

just wanted to comment that since you already know you submitted the wrong project

glad you enjoyed it 🎉

and wow, didn't even know about rhythm heaven - i gotta look more into it!

Thanks for playing and the feedback! I definitely stayed at the top/bottom during some debugging 😅 - something to improve upon for sure along with the "right" number of lives

I glad you liked the game & aesthetic and appreciated the speed-up mechanic! Thanks for playing :)

I appreciate it! Thanks for playing my game

Thanks much for the feedback and playing!

You're welcome!

Welcome!

I like the design of the character - he looks cool, sleek, and quick! ⚡ I think having the gameplay reflect that quickness would make the game feel more responsive as it feels slow for my tastes. Good job on completing the jam!

Thanks for the feedback :). I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yeah, I'll give it a play now 👍🏼

I'm glad you and your friend liked it! The bouncing mechanic is actually a last minute bug that became a feature, lol! That was not the original design 🤫. And thanks for the suggestion - I definitely agree the sound of the note being "hit" could be integrated better or differently into the experience [edit]... unless you're actually talking about the visuals of the note - that actually would be cool too. Wow, didn't even think of that!

Thanks for playing and the feedback! Glad you liked it - I really wanted to sell the 3rd dimension aspect

Thanks much for reviewing and playing! I appreciate hearing the feedback :)

I'm glad you liked it - thanks for playing ^_^

I think it's a pretty good score 🕹 - thanks much for the feedback and playing! :)

Welcome!

Loved the intro and the overall juiciness of the game feel - great job!

I appreciate the kind words! Thanks much for giving it a play :)

I'm glad you like it! Thanks much for the kind words! :D

Hey all! Here's a link to my entry for those of you who want to procrastinate on that last minute polishing :P  https://kzventures.itch.io/otk

The gameplay revolves around hitting the piano keys and having them collide with other keys to watch your score go higher and higher!

What's your high score? :D

Good luck with the final submissions! I recommend testing a build on itch soon so you can catch little bugs. For example:

  1. Left and Right Arrow Unicode Characters - this was not loading properly so you can see below I just hardcoded "<--" and "-->"
  2. GPUParticles2D - I'm using Godot 4, so I had to switch this to CPUParticles2D to run in the browser

Best of luck!

Yeah, the freezing was a bug in the game unfortunately... Thanks much for playing and the feedback!
