Yeah this is an awesome game! Controls were a little getting used to but worked well once I got the hang of it!

Very cool idea! Sadly I feel i'm mostly unlucky with these types of games so I only got to stage 5 after a couple of tries. Loved how well it all worked, it's really polished. I especially loved the hand-drawn art assets (at least, they look that way), gives it all a very personal style!
Great work!

Fun controls and a charming art style. I like that every level has a different twist, but I didn't like the random enemies, like the ghost that lunges at you out of nowhere, or the big skeleton in the bottom. Felt like a cheap "haha you lose" moment, and I have to retry a couple of times to get the timing just right. I'd like to have seen more of the environmental changes/puzzles.
But other than the random enemies it's really solid!
This is great! You kinda fix the difficulty yourself and this feels like a game where you could really think about your routes/placements to get the optimal results. Also very cool that every 5 biscuits some of the placed objects get destroyed.
If you'd want to expand further on this, maybe some actual levels could be added? With some extra blocks/walls so you have to rethink how you will progress to 10 biscuits this time. Just spitballing here.
Great work!
Loved that I could change the sensitivity! It was way too high in the beginning for me.
Got some blue prince vibes with the randomness when opening doors, and general art style and how you pick items up, which is a good thing haha. I did start skipping the gambling parts though, my luck isn't that great in those types of things.
All in all, good submission!
I know you didn't create the assets but I just wanted to say that I love the art style!
Great controls man, never got hampered by them, it's really fluid. I did get stuck under a bombgoblin on the second level (it jumped over to me and I jumped down into the pit and if followed me), after the restart I was able to complete it though. Was a little sad that it ended after level two, I wanted to play some more.
Great start man!
Thanks for the feedback! Certainly room for improvement, I still lose a lot of time figuring things out along the way so naturally had to make some cuts like the background for example. Over time I'll get faster and have a more streamlined workflow, at the end of this game jam I already noticed things I would've done differently.
No asset packs were used, the spikes are created in Aseprite :)
Thanks a lot for playing!
I've gotten to about 120 biscuits, I bought all I could in the store as well. I don't think the upgrades are working? I might be clicking in the wrong places.
The enemies attacking at the same interval is pretty cool, creates a certain rythm to it all where you can then fling yourself in between them and kill a bunch before getting out again.
Very well done. I played for a pretty long time because it was so much fun (a bit into 3x NG+).
The pixel art is great, the music sets a good tone, the upgrades felt impactful.
I did have some freezes along the way (they also got through after a while), I used a poison build with chaining and guided arrows, so I guess when it was figuring everything out it took some time.
Good game!
Yeah, judging by the comments, I missed on the balance with the jump economy. I didn't want players losing because of two bad rolls and not having enough jumps, but I leaned too hard in that direction.
When I revisit the project I'm going to have a look at the balance and add bigger gaps, or paths for higher rewards that require a greater amount of your jump pool.
Thanks a lot for playing and the feedback!
This was really great and had fun with it! The music and art are great and create a very creepy atmosphere, and I really jumped the first time the ghost got me haha. I think everything works great, and the juggling of items create a certain tension while keeping an eye out for the ghost. Placing the flashlight in a certain way to create a "Safe spot" to grab a key and then run back was also a kind of Ah-ha moment.
Sadly I couldnt finish, the tent where you have to throw the key while being on the ferris wheel was too hard for me. I tried a couple of times but couldnt get it right, and there seems to be some sort of hidden timer I think? So the ghost kept coming at me faster and faster to a point I couldnt get a throw in.
I did read that would've been the end though so I experienced the full package :D
All in all, super great work peeps!
This was really relaxing. I found my stone pretty quickly (The screw) and thought about placing it pretty close by, but I wanted to see the top (the blue tree has a certain draw to it). The different locations/biomes all are very charming and the music getting more defined the further you go was a great touch!
Great work!
