Thanks for the input!

With the input, everything was fine until we merged our Mouse and Joystick control scripts. After that the mouse aiming had that weird offset. I'd like to figure out that issue too, because it's definitely a frustrating part of the gameplay.

• I'm definitely going to implement some sort of Kill Count and Time Survived soon.

• An online leader board would also be very interesting, and it's something I'd like to look into if I were to flesh this project out.

• Zombie variants would also be nice. At the very least I'd want a visual variation in the zombies(different skins), but I definitely agree that other zombie types (slow but strong, fast but weaker,  etc.) would for sure help with the playability overall.

Thanks! We didn't really come up with an end condition, so it's sort of a just endless horde survival thing.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what kind of gamepad were you using? I was only able to test with what I had on hand(Dualshock 4), so there may be something about how I set it up for my controller that doesn't work with others.

And, is there anything you think could be added to this game to improve it? I'd like to at least get the main mechanics finished, and add the second level back in, but any suggestions on how to improve it(especially from someone who enjoys this genre) would be pretty helpful. Thanks.

  • Ancient Ruins - Desert
  • Ancient Ruins - Jungle

  • Battlefield - Grassy Plain
  • Village
  • Burnt Village
  • Ship (Pirate or something, could be made to look pretty cool)

Enemy Types

  • Archers - Ranged
  • Crossbowman - Ranged
  • Brutes -  Heavy hitter, but slow windup
  • Knight - Medium Damage, Medium Speed
  • Horseback Knight - Fast and Medium Damage, but vulnerable to thrown weapons and trap weapons (more on that later)
  • Barbarian - High Damage, High Speed But Dumb, Uncoordinated AI
  • Wild Beasts - Lions, etc
  • Monsters - Ogres, Goblins, etc. (If planning to go a more fantasy route)

Weapon Types

  • Javelin/Spear (Thrown weapons)
  • Caltrops (Anti-Horse weapon)
  • Katana (Quick, sweeping hits, maybe a rare item)
  • Flail (Would be cool to implement with the physics)
  • Rope Bow (Pull Knights off of horses, probably other uses)
  • Tactical Nuke
  • Great Sword
  • Chakram
  • Magic? (If you want to keep it in the realm of reality, maybe not the best choice)
  • Staff
  • Flintlock Pistol
  • Greek Fire (Environmental Hazard)
  • Bow (With the potential to shoot an arrow through fire, making a fire arrow.)
  • Throwing Stars
  • Sword + Shield
