Thank you! Really happy to have SpaceShooter in the Warp

Thank you very much! I’m really happy to have SpaceShooter in the Warp Arcade JAM and the Omega category. Excited to be part of it!

I really like the idea behind the high-ground system. The downhill advantage adds an interesting tactical layer, although I think the difference between attacking uphill and downhill could be communicated a little more clearly the first time it appears. A small visual cue or short tutorial message could help players understand the mechanic without having to learn it through losing a unit.

I also like the Orders system because having a limited stock makes each use feel like an actual decision rather than something you can spam. It adds another layer of resource management to each march.

Overall, the mechanics have some interesting strategic depth, and I think a little more visual feedback when introducing the less obvious rules would make them much easier to learn while keeping the challenge intact.

Afterlife of IO has a very unique atmosphere and an interesting sci-fi concept. I really liked the idea of exploring different eras of the same world, the memory/archive theme, and the way the game tries to make you question what information you can trust.

The visual style and overall presentation feel very distinctive, and there’s clearly a lot of ambition behind the project. I also liked the variety of systems, especially the Guardian encounters, progression, and the idea of corrupted battle information.

The biggest issue for me was the initial setup. I had some difficulty getting the game to launch because Python and pygame dependencies had to be installed manually before everything worked correctly. Once that was solved, the game ran properly. I think making the installation/startup process more straightforward would help a lot, especially for players who aren’t familiar with Python environments.

Overall, I found the concept very creative and the world intriguing. There’s a lot here that makes me want to explore further and understand more about IO, the archives, and The Mind.

Great creepy atmosphere and a strong sense of tension while searching for the pages. The darkness works really well for the horror vibe, although I found the controls and navigation a little unclear at times.

A clearer controls screen would help, and I think some subtle hints in the notes could make exploration more interesting. For example, if one note said something like “escaping,” the letter E could be partially covered in blood to subtly hint that the player should head East.

I also found a bug: if you move all the way West and then head South, you can fall through the ground.

Overall, I enjoyed the experience and I think the atmosphere is the strongest part of the game.

tried to launch but doesnt work

Checked your game really interesting, but in ranked mode dont u have to lose life when time ends?

Great stuff

I will try it

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you enjoyed it
I created the game in Unity, mostly working on it by myself and learning/improving things along the way. It took a lot of time to build the gameplay, UI, enemies and progression, but comments like this make it worth it!
Thanks again for playing SpaceShooter!

(1 edit)

Thanks! That’s exactly what I was aiming for. I wanted players to be able to try the game first and see if they enjoy it. The full game includes a lot more content and features than the demo, and you can get a glimpse of some of them in the trailer. Really appreciate the support!

Hi everyone!

I’m an indie developer and I’d like to share my game SpaceShooter.

SpaceShooter is a fast-paced 2D space action game where you fight through enemy waves, dodge asteroids, collect upgrades, unlock different weapons and survive increasingly difficult battles.

Play the FREE demo on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5059500/SpaceShooter/

Official Trailer: https://youtu.be/ioFTNHXSSNk

I’d really appreciate any feedback from people who try the demo. If you find a bug, something that could be improved, or simply have an idea for the game, feel free to let me know.

If you enjoy it, adding SpaceShooter to your Steam Wishlist would also really help support the project.

Full release: November 2, 2026

Thanks to everyone who checks it out!
