Hum... sorry but it's still the same for me... Nothing appears in the inspector window and i can't modify this parameter.

Well, I agree with you on some points : Some genre may not need a real prototype to test the gameplay. I was thinking especially about RPG's (unless you innove in the field of combat system). But I guess in every genre you can add a special thing that makes your game special. RTS for example, you may need to test a lot to find the balance between macro and combats.

Upon all, I think this is better to go with a prototype, just like a painter would go with a sketch before lining and colouring his drawing. It could give you a better overview of what time it will take for instance. Also it is sometimes easier to go step by step, little by little, creating your game, especially if you're very demanding with yourself. I know by experience I work quicker when I say to myself "Come on, just write, don't think to much, it's just a raw shot. You'll do better later". If i wanna try too perfect on the first shot it kinda paralyses me cuz i never feel like it's good. On the other hand when i go back on editing my prototype I can find the results better than I could have imagined. All I need to do then is just polish a little, and process again.

Nice. I checked the one you posted on the sleepy hollow story. Quite liked the movie. What's your engine ?

True it is sometimes confusing but really inspiring. By the way giving the possibility to change the binary colors is nice.

Ok nice. I've tried it and it looks interesting, but i've had some issues. Actually I couldn't manage to do such basics things as modifying the character apparition in the scene. There was no "modify" button and I was stuck with the same character appearing on the left and no way to change the character appearing nor the side where it was coming. There were a few basics issues like this...

I will try it. Though i don't need nor want a AI co author, but i guess that's an optional part ?

Hi there, i'm also working on a visual novel, if i have some time i will test yours and give you my opinion.

Glad you liked it ! Good luck too, what's your current project ??

Same here

Beautiful drawing and atmosphere. Is it hand drawn ???

Backgrounds are so hard...

Really liked it ! Fun, simple and the design is pleasant.

Haha like it

Glad it feels this way hehe

Cozy feeling !

Nice drawing ! Is it hand drawn ?

Hi there ! Nice to meet you,

You can call me Endai though it is rather the name of my team (which is actually composed by me and my brother), but my "real" nickname is Katanights (the guy has a nickname over a nickname).

Anyway, I'm working almost solo on a visual novel horror game at the moment. I say almost because my bro gives me a hand with the game's engine and debugging stuffs :)

I started from zero with this game, had no company, no professional experience, just imagination and (maybe) a bit of skills, but I'm trying hard and keep the hope that I could someday make a living of it.

But for now on i'd be really happy to meet some other dev who feel in the same situation, or have some experience and advise to share.

So see you around guys !

Ps: If you're curious my game's name's Who Killed Mr X and there's a demo version here on Itch. ;)

Hi guys,

What can I say that I haven't been saying again again to show you that my game is worth playing ? Yeah i'm one of those millions of indie games dev (just like you maybe) who desperately struggle to make his dream come true : make a living from imagination and talent (and absolutely not from AI). So what can i say really ?

Well first, my game's not the best on earth... No kidding ! The graphics are ok, I made it all by myself and i tried to find a visual style that would have some appeal, with a lot of contrasts and colors, which make it (prove me wrong) kinda unique... i guess. But also i wanted it simple enough not to take me 10 years to finish it, almost dead and broke. The musics are made the same way, though i can't say, they "look" unique here.

By the way, did i mention i'm talking about  a mysterious suspenseful visual novel detective horror game ? Which means the part I spent the more time on, is clearly the story.  I like good stories, plot, twists, surprises and complexity. So i really wanted to create one that i would like if i was suddenly victim of amnesia. Hopefully you won't have to suffer the same condition to appreciate it ! And that is the right moment to tell you more about the story i think :

Two months after a strange incident you never talked about, you wake up in a small, dimly lit room furnished only with a telephone and a television. But you're not alone... You discover that eight other people are locked inside with you.  Who are these people? What are you doing here? No one has any answers. Fear and anger rise, when suddenly... the phone rings. The choice is yours now : Will you dare answer and plunge into the dark heart of this mystery? Will you be able to uncover the terrible truth... and survive it ?

Doesn't that give you the desire to learn more about it ? Because i couldn't come up with something better :u The game's development isn't finished yet but you can see the trailer down below and play the Demo version on Itch !

If you like it, I'd be thankful if you share it and wishlist on Steam, it gives energy and really helps ! You can also follow on Instagram for news, gamedesign posts, and stuffs.
