What wine version are you using?

The mechanics are better than a lot of modern ‘proper’ JRPGs.

Inside the game directory, run

chmod +x ./nw

Then start with

./nw 

I had similar issues trying to run it a while back with ./Game  instructions are from '!zLINUX USERS PLEASE READ.rtf'

As a note to Indivi - could this file just be made plaintext instead of RTF for linux? Since a lot of people will try to read it on the console.

That'd be pretty neat, I'd love to see that for skin colors too.
