Interessting idea. Playing was fun but for me personally it felt a bit to punishing. It was fun to balance in between using your dashes for movement and for dodging.

I think if you but in a bit more juice into the destruction the circle causes it could give the game another huge upgrade. Seeing the houses crash down was already fun but i think sfx on that would really have done a lot to sell the immersion.

Another small thing is, that I think it would be smart to either make something like a skip confirmation (like holding down a key for a while)
Or to pick a more unintuitive key that space. I accedently skipped important dialog in my first attemt.

In total I think it was fun to play and a creative interpretation of the theme. The Dialog was also another strengh of the game.

Loved to play, the music was very intense and the sound effects made everything feel juicy. The controls felt intuitive. The graphics fit the game overall a great package. The only thing I was seeing as a downside was the ending. It came very unexpected and felt a bit frustrating. Perhaps I am also just to stupid to figure out how to progress? Is there a way to make it over the spike pit after the dive bomb mechanic is introduced?
Was a bit sad to not be able to play further. I also feel like I did not yet have time to play arount with the growing mechanic enough.

I would love to see more levels coming to this! Amazing game. Very impressive to make somethink that feels this polished in the short time period.

fun idea. I loved the music and the way the game looks. Although sometimes my camera clipped above the upper island and obscured my vision. The controlls also sometimes felt a bit strange when I couldnt get up my raft.

I see the theme integration with the water level, i still feel like there could have been a bit more growing involved in the gameplay.
Somehow I think of water levels as "rising" and not as "growing" but perhaps thats just me being picky.

The ending was super cute and emotional and overall I had a good time playing.

I tried to run the linux build but it looks like you forgot to include the pck file? Or have I missed something here, and there is a way to run this?

I played again today in order to give you a description, but it worked fine this time. The game still had my fans going up but it was absolutely playable and fun.

As far as I remeber from yesterday it literally was just low fps from the beginning, like 3 fps i would guess.

Today I still didnt get any sounds from the game, i dont know if this is intended since you linked some music and sfx. Still looked great tho.

Glad you enjoyed!

Regarding the next plants, you can influence which plant you will get by changing up the ferilizers, it is still chance based tho.

I think a tutorial that acually teaches this mechanic would have been nice.
It works like this:
Range and Projectile speed increase your chance of a ranger, but damage decreases it. Ranger also has the highest default chance.
Damage increases your chance of a damage dealer
AttackSpeed increases your chance of a Quickshooter

A ranger is alway a broccoli.
A DamageDealer is always an Onion unless your Rangerchance is very low. Then it becomes a tree.

A Quickshooter is always a Devilfruit unless your Rangerchance is very low. Then it becomes a tree.

It looks a bit complicated when layed out like this, but it playes like this: Do nothing or mostly Range and Projectile and you will get Broccolis
Do some mix with a bit of range or Projectile speed in it you will get an Onion or a Devilfruit. (Or a Broccoli sometimes)
Do only Attackspeed and Damage and you will get a tree.

Thanks for you feedback. I am aware that there is still a lot to polish and improve, we had to cut a lot of corners in order to make it in time. Still would you mind elaboration what exacly you mean?

The implementation of the theme was spot on, i really loved the moment where I realized that I play as the plantlife that overgrows the remains of the old civilazation. A bit of a tutorial or a clearer naming convention would be good. I had almost finished the game when I placed my first default tree and I realized that it was the only money generating tree of the game.
It was certantly a lot more fun when I noticed that it wasnt just about waiting.
The graphics really where amazing and totaly carried me into the world.
The music was great and I loved that there was some variation but I think you could make it hit a bit earlier. (I think it was day 9 when I first heard something else than the first loop, might have missed it earlier tho.)
For my personal taste I would have prefered a little less vibrato in the melody as it gave the theme something really uneven and unsettiling which didnt fit the game for me

Gameplay wise i think the enemys could be a little more threatening. There are more of a nuisance right now.
The ending was also quit overwhelming.

I name a lot of negative feedback here, but that really just because I think the game is already great and still has a lot of potential.
I would love to see where this is going if you decide to continue developing after the jam.

great game, was really fun to play!

The game was so good, that I wished for more difficulty. And then all of the sudden i got a new harder area and a madmans pillar to play around with! I loved it. Sfz would have been another huge upgrade for the juice tho.

Super cool and unique game idea.
Unfortunately for me it was so laggy that I couldnt really play.
Would love to give an actual rating but like this i unfortunately cant.

Loved Playing but took me a while to understand. Perhaps i should have read the info first xD.

Music was good but felt a bit repetative for a while and I think some sfx would have been a huge upgrade

Graphics where simple but appealing

I think it would be nice to make the infect some cell so they infect others a bit stronger so the gameplay feels more like growing an army and less like slowly chipping away the brain while dodging the white cells.

Overall super cool game!

I forgot to write into the game description:
ctr + m to mute the music.

left click to charge a fertilizer

right click to discharge it

I love the music!
A bit to much clicking involved in the gamplay for my personal taste. But overall: Amazing game!

Cool simple game, getting through the gap right before the end felt a bit random and perhaps giving the player a better Idea of what the environment objects like the fisher or the fish actually do would be something to improve. Otherwise I loved the ascetic and the idea. I really loved how the bubbles feel actually bubblely.

I really like the way your game looks and sounds like. I think the movement could use some work, it felt a bit strange how fast the player was in comparison to the gravity. It would also have been nice if the game paused during the potion crafting. Especially for the boss level where the orb shoots you while crafting. But all in all an amazing game.

Hi, i had the same problem. I think you cant fix this without reuploading because you deleted the files and this happens even if you don´t save the change because it cannot undelete a file. I recommend you to join the BIGA discord and ask the staff for help. They where really kind and helped me by allowing me to reupload.
