This is the exact sort of game my son is always borrowing my phone to play, so this is an easy, easy purchase for me~

I'll admit, though that it's got a good challenge & I've only made it to Stage 2 thus far. Aiming with the crank, while pretty dang accurate, I definitely found myself consistently just missing the little pellets. To make it more palatable for my kids, I think they'd appreciate a sort of "magnetic" pickup option, for when the player snake is close enough to the drops & maybe the option/toggle to have 3 lives in a game~

Edit: I just noticed the Game Shop lol

Invulnerability pickups, Magnet pickups & even different snake-skins; nvm my previous points, this game is actually perfect xD

I love how the Dark display option looks, but my eyes don't see the action too well unless it's on Light, I think.

The combat aspect seems frantic, but I'm not sure I understand how to fire the missiles (it doesn't seem too apparent when I press B after pickup), but I'm certainly able to see the mines & run into them almost w/o fail xD

Maybe (recorded) Laptimes are a low priority with this kind of game, but I have noticed a bit of weirdness with the Lap 3 recorded always being several seconds to a minute or more compared to the first two laps. I believe this may be due to the race timer not concluding at the finishline (on lap 3), in order to pan over the racers still racing their "victory lap".

Otherwise, this is a pretty dang cool title & hope you continue working at it to add more QOL features like toggle-free automatic acceleration, combat audio (explosions, whooshing missile launches) or some sweet unlockable vehicles. I'm kinda thinking that Survival mode may well be the highlight of this game & indeed where the spirit of the games design really lives.

Not in the official catalog (https://play.date/games/search/?q=&sort=rank&category=apps&submit=Search) but there are 3rd party apps on itch.io & elsewhere that have been developed with some web functionality.
In exchange for purchase, the listing indicates I would be able to download "BEAT LIGHT.pdx 46 MB", but this is in fact an html file & not a .pdx that I would be able to sideload if it were in the format listed.
I was eager to try this otherwise aesthetically appealing game out on device & the images provided lead me to believe that the monochrome version could be played on a playdate~

I purchased so as to acquire the .pdx so that I can sideload onto my Playdate.
Is the .pdx listed elsewhere?
