Innovation: Real time upgrades made this game standout among others in it's crowd

Visuals: Simple. They got the job done. I like it.

Gameplay. Fun and just needs some polish to make it to the next level. Feedback: Have different types of enemies always have different speeds. The character movement is limited, so the enemies having similar speeds results in the player not being able to avoid damage. Now, getting currency is pretty easy, so that could be a development trade-off, but i think players would enjoy the dopamine rush of not getting hit for extended periods of time.

Overall, great job on the jam! Looking forward to your team's next project!

Once I understood what was going on, it hooked me. I confused the purge circle with a safe zone! After that, I survived 13 awesome cycles.

Gameplay: Simple, but engaging. Feedback: Slow down the initial purge at the start of the round. The souls spawn in the middle of the arena and then are automatically purged before the player can grab them or place a sanctuary.

Theme: Very creative and delightfully simple.

Visuals: Clear without being overwhelmed by clutter. Feedback; borders around the sanctuaries. The visual clarity will help the player define zones around the purge. Better defined sanctuaries could also help develop easy to use collision for soul deflection and capture.

Overall: Awesome game! Really looking forward to the teams future projects.

Gameplay: The overall concept is very interesting and I enjoyed it once I understood what to do. Feedback; this type of game would benefit from a tutorial level.

Visual: The environments were easy to understand. Feedback; make the roots a straight cylinder instead of the zig zag lines. Not sure if that was a bug, but it would help with visual clarity.

Innovation: I really loved how unique this concept was. Feedback: The mechanics with the light moving and the light having cones should be mixed to provide variety, complexity, and a better overall visual understanding of the game. Either I failed horribly, or I blew through the level with ease.

Overall: I really enjoyed experiencing this game. The concept alone had my mind going down rabbit holes of possibility. Great job!!

Gameplay: Simple and yet engaging. I didn't expect the memorization, but I was definitely hooked by dream 2.

Audio: Perfect for keeping the player in the atmosphere of the environment without becoming annoying oppressive. Great work.

Theme: This game was unique and kept me engaged and searching for better answers and better outcomes.

Overall: Great game for the jam!

Enjoyment: Loved this. Charming and challenging.

Gameplay: Each character felt smooth to play and very balanced for their specific job.

Innovation: The main universe mechanic speaks for itself lol

Theme: Simple and yet distinct. Very well done in this department.

Visuals: Kept the focus on the gameplay. The mechanic could've easily stolen the show, but it was kept at a level that allowed the player to focus and still appreciate what they're looking at.

Audio: Nailed the background music and sound effects.

Overall: Awesome jam game team! Can't wait to see your future projects.

Thank you for the feedback!

YES

Thank you for the feedback! The experience was super fun and I'm already thinking about future projects!

Thank you for the feedback! That's great to hear!

Thank you! That's what i was going for, so glad to hear it hit the mark.

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed your time with it.

Concept: Loved it. The switching was unique. Feedback: More breathing time for switching or allowing the player to regain air when in green mode.

Art: Simple and clean. Allowed all focus to go into the level and switching which was great

Innovation: Easiest 5 star to give. Once you get it, it's good. The ground one still felt a little wonky, but the system itself was awesome

Overall: Awesome jam game! Looking forward to your future projects!

I can see the vision. I'm glad you shared! Hoping this can become a full jam/game submission in the future!

Needs work! But I like the concept and I know a lot goes into trying to dev something on your own.

Recommendations

Gameplay:

  • Slow down the amount of customers. It was like a zombie horde with no end.
  • Reduce the initial amount of restraunt. It was a lot of information to try and balance all at once
  • Guide the player through the instructions. For a game like this, have the player click through the first encounter together.
  • It's possible the version of the game that was uploaded is bugged. The customers snake around the court in an endless loop, i press next day to get money, i buy the restraunt in the top right, i get more money, and then repeat. Based on your screenshots, i think the pace of the game was supposed to be slower. You should play the itch.io version and double check to make sure this version of the game was your intended experience. For example, I realized I didn't account for the built-in itch.io full screen option, so i disabled it during the 48 hour grace window so my game actually worked instead of an asset explosion.

Overall: Great job putting something together! This was my first jam and I know the experience can be stressful, but rewarding.

Once I got the hang of what was going on, i was locked in! Leaderboard was a great touch. Made me keep chasing rounds until i made top 5.

Gameplay: Loved the overall concept. Recommend adding some type of symbol to track the player cursor and labels for the powerups.

Theme: Very interesting and didn't see it coming! But fits the wave based combat suuuuper well.

Audio: The background music was perfect for just vibing out and getting through waves.

Overall: Awesome game for the jam!!

Wow. This one took me by suprise in the greatest way!

Visuals: Loved the art style. Consistent and unique.

Audio: Fit the theme and vibe very well.

Gameplay: I liked how simple the games were. Possible add could be a slower versions of the games when it's your first time seeing it and then full speed later, but the current version works just fine.

Overall: Loved what was going on here and definitely kept me engaged until the end.

Awesome game! Really allows you to get in the zone and just vibe.
Visuals: Consistent art style that allowed for the mechanics to shine

Theme: Very strange, and yet somehow fitting lol

Audio: Very satifying and allows for plenty of player feedback.

Overall: Awesome job on the jam! Looking forward to your future projects.

Nice!! Thank you for the feedback.

Wow! I'm honored to be compared to one of the greats lol. Thank you for the feedback. I really worked hard on mechanics rather than visuals, so I'm glad that felt good to play.

Visuals: Great artstyle. Very consistent.

Audio: Player actions had amazing audio feedback. I would personally prefer louder and more pronounced background music.

Gameplay: The difficulty scales too quickly too early. More example levels need to be in place before ramping up into moving blocks, timing block movement, and solving the overall puzzle.

Overall: Awesome game jam game! I look forward to seeing what you develop in the future. I'm sure it'll be delightfully frustrating lmao

Visuals: Awesome, really fit the tone and atmosphere the game dialogue was presenting

Audio: Loved the different music and audio feedback. It worked well on the player side.

Gameplay: Some type of explanation or example is needed, but I tested it and realized the random things I was actively trying to do were actually working.

Overall, definitely a unique experience that I enjoyed exploring. Great job!!

Feedback:

  • Art: Awesome. Really loved everything about the style and colors
  • Audio: Needs work. Kept cutting out.
  • Gameplay: I liked it overall, but would like clicking to speed up text even more to scale for different levels of readers.
  • Overall: Really enjoyed what you're going for and a very enjoyable jam experience.

This was the chill game i didn't know i needed lol. Music was awesome. The concept was great. The instructions were clear. I was very engaged in the mechanic and found more depth to the disapearing blocks than expected. I really didn't even think about the diamond when i read the instructions, but it quickly became my main source of anxiety during my playtime lmao. Awesome job team! Keep making great games.

Wow! So simple and yet so addicting. To be honest, the game overall would just need polish, but the foundation is good as is. If you decided to keep developing on it in the future, you have an amazingly solid concept on your hands. The game and stage can get crazier, what happens can get weirder, and so on and so forth.

Feedback:

  • background audio. would help with adding atmosphere.

Overall, GREAT job. Killed it.

Wow!! That was awesome. I didn't think I was going to like the random team mate loss mechanic long term, but it works well!

Feedback:

  • character balance: make everyone feel like they're a must pick instead of some being must picks (soldier/scientist) and then some being niche/clutch (teleporter/smuggler). This change would allow you to keep enemy difficulty higher because every character feels awesome and impactful in their own way. Example: Soldier gets 1 block hit in all directions around the couch. Scientist keeps shield. Teleporter can always port to any of the 4 corners of the map, regardless of enemies or obstacle. Smuggler loots anything in a 3 block ring around couch.

Overall, AWESOME jam gam. I was hooked and 100% forgot this was a game jam game. Like, i just wanted to keep playing, so i did lol. Great job.

My first playthrough:

"Hehe...hold your horses"

**Sees horse for the first time**

"AYYOOO HOLD YOUR HORSES"

Overall, awesome game. Creepy and fun at the same time! The goals were light hearted and motivated me to be bold and engage with the game with confidence instead of creeping around doing nothing. Great work!!

Haha! Thank you so much for the feedback! I definitely want to come back to this project in the future. Kind of like a before and after concept, so this really helps guide that future vision!

Thank you for the feedback! I felt like it was too easy in early versions, so I'm glad the difficulty still felt fair.

Thank you so much! I was super nervous submitting, so your feedback means a lot!

Great game. Loved the music. Art was indeed cozy combined with the audio. It was very satisfying to search through the rooms. Awesome job!

love the overall vibe and game! I recommend making the jump lower and WASD movement would be an awesome add as well.

  • Holy art style Batman! It’s amazing.
  • Yeah, this was just incredible all around
  • Feedback: Please keep making games lol
  • I don’t even know what just happened to me, but I think it was a good thing lol
  • Nailed the game jam theme and then some.
  • My feedback? Keep being weird. I think eventually it’ll work out for you lol
  • I like the inclusion of the dash and run. It helps with the pace without distracting from the game atmosphere.
  • Bug: The big bad get’s in the way of the player progressing to the next floor. Recommend: Enemy disappears when reaching the exit
  • I like the addition of the power mechanic. It added layers to the game.
  • Bug: This may have just been a one time thing, but I was able to escape the enemy by spamming space bar with no stamina
  • The visuals are GREAT. Really loved being in the environment/atmosphere. Coupled with the sound design, really great job.
  • Overall, awesome jam game! Really fits the theme well.
  • I like the overall art style
  • Recommend: Quick note about how to play. Most players are going to assume WASD, so specifically needing arrow movement should be noted.
  • Recommend: Telling the player when a ‘Click Next’ is needed instead of the screen hanging there
  • Feature Consideration: Slower initial speed
  • I like the addition of the boss type door. Keeps the player engaged.
  • The different benefits to each type of door is also really great.
  • The audio and music is great and matches the theme very well!
  • Overall, very fun game!

- satisfying menu clicks

- Prefer more title visual clarity

- I like the font. Bold choice, but it works

- I really like the menu transitions from the main menu

- Concept: are you shitting me? Super unique. I love it. Scratches an itch I didn’t even know I had.

- I don’t really know what’s going on initially, but I like it.

- As someone who works with a lot of data professionally, it kind of makes me wish this was somehow my job, and that’s a good thing lol

- Adding an upgrade system is really what sets this apart. It could have been a complete experience with just getting faster at inputting, but the upgrades really give the game much more longevity

- As I continue it gets deeper and I love it. More options means more engagement. It’s like jumping from basic cultivation to a full blown stat sheet. I now more agency over my power and I like that.

- Overall, I love the experience. This project was awesome and wonderfully unique! Great job!

Thank you for the feedback! It means a lot. I'll definitely use this to do further work on the project in between future work.
