Wow!! That was awesome. I didn't think I was going to like the random team mate loss mechanic long term, but it works well!
Feedback:
- character balance: make everyone feel like they're a must pick instead of some being must picks (soldier/scientist) and then some being niche/clutch (teleporter/smuggler). This change would allow you to keep enemy difficulty higher because every character feels awesome and impactful in their own way. Example: Soldier gets 1 block hit in all directions around the couch. Scientist keeps shield. Teleporter can always port to any of the 4 corners of the map, regardless of enemies or obstacle. Smuggler loots anything in a 3 block ring around couch.
Overall, AWESOME jam gam. I was hooked and 100% forgot this was a game jam game. Like, i just wanted to keep playing, so i did lol. Great job.
