The Thousand of Us is a post-apocalyptic, choice-driven interactive fiction game where the end of the world gave birth to something far stranger. Two years after an asteroid nearly destroyed Earth, only a thousand survivors remain, all under eighteen and gifted (or cursed) with new abilities. Mutated life forms now roam the planet, and survival depends on more than power alone.

THE PLOT
Your story begins with what most believed to be the end of the world. A blinding flash lit up the night sky, turning darkness into day as thousands of missiles launched in a desperate attempt to save humanity collided with a massive asteroid hurtling toward Earth.
You wake up two years later to learn that the asteroid never destroyed the planet — but what it brought changed everything. The impact released a new, unknown element, and when mixed with the radiation that drenched the Earth, it triggered a wave of genetic mutations that wiped out almost the entire human race. And every surviving lifeform fell into a two-year hibernation.
Now, only about a thousand humans remain—all of them under 18. And you are one of them. Each survivor has awakened with a unique ability, a mutation unlike any other. But you’re not the only one who changed. Every living organism on Earth, from plants, to animals, even the environment itself has been altered… and they’ve all woken up just as hungry as you.
Will you focus on Survival and Rebuilding? Try to Unite or Conquer the remaining survivors? Seek a Cure or Solution to reverse the mutations and restore the planet? Or will you find yourself struggling with morality, torn between power and compassion?
Uncover hidden powers, form alliances, make enemies, and carve out your place in this new and dangerous world. Every choice you make shapes the fate of humanity.

FEATURES
- Play as Male, Female, or Non-binary — fully customize your appearance, personality, and demeanor.
- Choose your ability from a vast list: from a simple enhanced intellect to rapid regeneration, earth-shattering strength, or even necromancy, and more.
- Fight to survive against mutated creatures, hostile environments, and other survivors who might see you as a threat, or an opportunity.
- Define your character’s attitude: cold and calculating, kind and reserved, or anything in between.
- Explore with almost endless possibilities. This IF is a passion game that aims to be one of the most branched out IF games ever created.
- Mild gore and optional explicit scenes (with fade-to-black options). Death is a real possibility depending on your decisions. Make every decision with caution as just about every character in this game can die as a result of your choices.
- Play optional side stories and step into the shoes of side characters to make choices that influence the main story line.
- Each power path offers a completely different route (Some even offer multiple).
