I found a game that does something very similar... but much better lol. CISCO's Binary Game.
Lovely sound effects. The intro takes a bit long before being able to walk around/interact. I like the art style overall, although I didn't play very far.
I like the dialogue, especially the first scenes with the enemy bosses. I'm also interested to learn more about Shemmi, like where she comes from and her powers.
The 'R' key restarts the game. I kept clicking it by mistake, which sometimes made it very frustrating to play.
Overall, cute and interesting game.
I think the controls are easy, it's just not at all clear what you're supposed to do and when the "perspective" changes, so you're just pressing buttons hoping the right thing happens. I also like the comment of the "non-threatening" wall, I'll keep that in mind.
I'll definitely do better next time, thanks :)
For all those coming to try the game: Note that this was my first time making a game for a game jam after roughly 2 months of learning game dev. Basically everyone on my team was more talented and experienced than me, but since the other developer dropped out, I had to do all the programming myself - despite my lack of experience.
Note that my aim was only to learn new concepts and improve my understanding of developing in Unity, and so everything I made focused on that. Obviously you can review and comment whatever you want, but please keep this in mind if you do :)
Thanks for playing!
