I had attempted to collect a list, but nobody contributed and even now I no longer believe the games listed on compendium are still de-indexed.

https://github.com/IndieGameNews/Compendium/blob/main/CollectiveShoutShadowBanne...

if you would like to contribute all it takes is a github and a brain, thank you.

getting hundreds of visitors is no small feat, and thanks for checking it out.

but I still need developers like yourselves to fork the repo and create pages to make the website useable.

if you are a developer with a list of video games you have worked on, a musician, or anything else this is the perfect opportunity for you to add your own content to the encyclopedia! it's completely free and all you need is a github account and a brain, all you have to do is fork the compendium repo

https://github.com/IndieGameNews/Compendium

add an article about yourself, and then pull request it and wait for it to be updated to the main repository. you can also edit existing articles if you think they're inaccurate or  red flag things that you believe are opinionated or lacking critical details.

I wrote an article for your enjoyment on the topic.

but that isn't its purpose? it's not supposed to be like every other wiki. it says right in the home page that it's not designed to be like other wikis.

i hope they find someone, if this cabal of payment processors fell apart tomorrow I think we'd all be much happier

really? this is what you choose to address during a crises?

I have created a website and given a resource to catalogue it. please please PLEASE add your game and link by forking my Compendium repo on Github.

https://github.com/IndieGameNews/Compendium

preferably under

https://github.com/IndieGameNews/Compendium/blob/main/CollectiveShoutShadowBanne...

I cannot handle the shear amount of information currently available in the developer space right now, and need your contributions in order to make the compendium site viable.

the service is free, and you need only pull request. it does nothing but benefit you and I get nothing out of this.

this is one of those posts that makes you wish itch had a dislike button

it is applicable in short it means payment processors cannot deny you from purchasing or selling legal goods (at least as far as i've been informed.) and no problem be sure to add your own entries!

don't forget me!  https://indiegamenews.github.io/Compendium/CollectiveShoutShadowBannedGames.html

anyone can fork! anyone can make a page!

also this if you want to fight back:

https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/senate-bill/401/text

https://github.com/IndieGameNews/Compendium

https://indiegamenews.github.io/Compendium/Home.html

while I don't host games my website could be a massive help here when it comes to delisting transparency etc and anyone can fork/write their own articles on it!

I built something as an encyclopedic reference

https://indiegamenews.github.io/Compendium/Home.html

although I do not host video games you can talk about yourself or your games here and even link them back to itch.io. please just follow my guidelines when writing pages that's all I ask.

you can do so by forking and pull requesting the github repo found here:

https://github.com/IndieGameNews/Compendium

if you have any questions please; you need only ask.

Compendium an alternative to Wikipedia!

Compendium is a website designed to handle the hurdles that Wikipedia hurls at.

it will allow developers just like you to write encyclopedic articles about yourselves, your projects, your games, or other peoples content!

just be certain to follow the rules, it is afterall an encyclopedia should not sound like an advertisement.

you can find it and the mission statement here:

https://indiegamenews.github.io/Compendium/Home.html

you can write an article simply by forking and editing the repo located here:

https://github.com/IndieGameNews/Compendium

then running a pull request back to the main repository. Once accepted your content will be on the interweb!

And Remember, We do what Wiki Don't!

I hate that I have to do this, but here are some I know about:
https://spedumon.itch.io/small-on-top

https://rahimew.itch.io/bdcc

https://draconicsyntax.itch.io/project-glutt

primarily from other people showing me them.

anyways itch.io isn't the best place for this thread.

I will happily host the list on my encyclopedia website  instead in case itch takes this thread down:

https://indiegamenews.github.io/Compendium/CollectiveShoutShadowBannedGames.html

I encourage you to add to the growing list, you can do so simply by forking my repo and editing here:

https://github.com/IndieGameNews/Compendium

and i'll add it to the websites primary index later on.

Yes I know about the a-ref linking problem. it's a bug in the websites code.
