Thanks a lot!

Ooh I see, I now think it might be because the normals of the mesh are not smoothed, I'll try that!

😍😍

I'll be happy to play again if you make those changes!

Very addictive! I love when mechanics are simple and well executed! I believe this is my personal favourite in the jam 😄

The game feels cohesive in general. For the audio part, I would love some sliders to change the volumes and maybe start with less volume, since the music banged into my ears when the game first loaded.

I'm also missing a visual cue of what's interactable, like when you hover over the ports they will animate or something, but that's like a minor detail. Good entry!

That's a lovely idea! I like how cohesive and consistent the game is. For the gameplay, it feels very frustrating to me because I can't understand the controls and I crash in seconds, having to wait like half a minute or so to make another try.

I love the cute small lore and  the visuals! It looks very polished and I can feel that you put a lot of care into it. The gameplay looks very difficult to master, even with the tutorial I wasn't able to understand how the mechanic exactly works, and that's very frustrating to me. I really don't enjoy when I can't tell what's going on on a game because it feels unfair to me, but I understand that other people can like that. The audio is cool too, in general the game is very cohesive and feels consistent.

What a nice idea! I never saw or use the johnny castaway screensaver, but an acquaintance of mine did and it left a very deep impression on him, he always remembered it.

This also looks like the kind of project that is perfect to test the beehive addon, or any kind of npc AI, maybe I will do something similar if I want to play with that sort of things in the future. Inspiring!

Hey! It looks like a cool idea but even after reading your comments on how to play, I still don't understand how to do it and it was a bit frustrating 😬

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you! I'm interested on the shadow issue, what do you mean exactly? In the initial versions of the game, the sail was semi-transparent and I was thinking of adding an option in the menu to make it like that, do you think that might solve the problem?

oh, I see. Maybe I could implement a check so it displays a message instead of crashing, not sure if that's possible from godot

Hi André, thanks for letting me know!

I've liked your game! It has potential in it, it has a quiet and cozy feel.

If you want to continue it in the future, here are some suggestions to make it even better:

  • Option to invert the y axis of the camera
  • Lerping of movement (smoothly stopping and starting the movements)
  • Making the camera a bit far away when you are out of the ship

These are the main things. There are some other details, but in general is a very good entry! Congratulations!

You were actually right! I was messing with the export configurations the other day and mistakenly made it to not export any resources at all 😂😂😂

It should be fixed now! Let me know what do you think about the game if you play it! Just take into account that it's still in development and there's not much to do yet!

oh no 😱😱 I don't have a Linux computer at hand so I never tested the build, thanks a lot for letting me know! I'll try to find a Linux laptop and fix the issue.

I'm coding part of my game while on a livestream in twitch, but a part from that and a Game Design Document that I more or less update, I'm not documenting anything else from the process.

I've always admired the diligence it takes to write a devlog, I never could!

Las estoy usando todas en mi jueguico, son preciosas! Están randomizadas cada vez que lo ejecutas: https://iakobs.itch.io/vagonetes-vagarivoles

Thanks a lot!

I'm curious to see what you do with it, please let me know :)

Hey!thanks a lot for your interest! No worries about language, I also speak English :)

I'm finishing a couple of things and then I'll upload the project files for godot and blender! You can use all of it however you want! And don't hesitate to make any questions

Muchas gracias! Acabo de actualizarlo con más cambios!

qué pasada, me flipa el del platáno con los hilitos de brazos
