Hi all! I am a composer who specializes in creating dark, textural soundscapes that aim to make your game feel even more alive. Hey! I'm an ambient composer/sound designer and I would love to work with you on this! I love games that focus on being interactive experiences rather than being just a product/exploiting the player, and I like how the philosophy of this project ties into the actual design of the game. I also love that you have a clear aesthetic picture in mind - I think the plan for the music/visuals ties in really well with the overall themes of the project. You can check out some of my music here: https://housefiresuoh.bandcamp.com/. I am currently on break from uni so I have open availability until the end of September. Would love to work on this, let me know if you're interested! (or contact me on discord - brysonssssssssssssssss)

Hi all, I am a recently graduated audio engineering student who's looking for a team to work with. I can handle any audio related duties, include music composition, SFX, and audio integration. I mostly make dark ambient music, but I'm comfortable in writing for a wide variety of genres - big band jazz, metal, etc. You can check out some of my work here: https://housefiresuoh.bandcamp.com/

If interested, please message me on discord (@brysonssssssssssssssss). Looking forward to working with you!

Very unique and atmospheric sounding tracks. I think they do a great job of fitting with the theme you described. Really well produced, the textures like the vinyl crackle and pad reverb add a lot to these tracks. Both tracks are great but I especially liked Waltzing Soliloquy!

Really like the sound selections on this - nostalgic and clearly retro inspired without feeling overly "old." Very well produced, tracks have a consistent vibe but are still pretty diverse in their sound. Especially liked Paralyzed and Tempo. Great job!

Nice, very minimal and tasteful electronics without being overly simple. Good consistency throughout the four tracks, all mesh with the theme really well. In some cases I feel like these sounds could have a bit more/bit longer reverb to them, although I guess that could also be seen as being too cliche for a space-focused OST, so somewhat subjective I suppose. Great job!

Some really nice sounds on this. Mart Delay, Warp Runner, Time Clash all have really nice sound designs, especially w/r/t distortion. I liked the inclusion of multiple versions of Mart Delay, gave a nice sense of development to the project. Frontier is also really cool, reminds me of some of nine inch nail's early stuff. Overall great job!

(1 edit)

If you really have only made a couple tracks before this, then this is honestly really impressive! Very spooky, fits the theme you described perfectly. I think these could all be a bit longer/more developed but what you put together sounds great!

This is a pretty crazy setup, never seen anyone use a ps vita as a modular controller before. Really liked the sound design on Calibrate and Dye Young

Very conceptually interesting piece. I think for the most part it balances all these disparate elements really well. And the inclusion of the fragment is very obvious. I feel like maybe the connection to your described concept could've been a bit clearer, but that's my only real critique

Nice contrast between the two tracks. I really liked the synth lead in the second piece. I think the connection to the jam's theme could've been a bit more overt but good stuff all around

Nice, idiomatic chiptune sounds. These are all very well composed tracks and effective use of quartal harmony. However, I do feel like these tracks could have a bit more of a distinct personality to them. I know you said you didn't realize there was supposed to be a game concept, but I just feel like these could have a bit stronger identity outside of just being retro style chiptune. Either way, still really well written music, favorite track is Eerie Echo Ambience

Great work, really professional sounding tracks. I think you did a great job of matching vibe you described in the concept. Especially loved the use of 7/8!

Very unique and creative sounding piece. I like the surreal juxtaposition between all these different tones and musical styles. It feels a bit hard to properly judge this without seeing some sort of visual component, but still overall nice work.

Really fantastic work as far as having a consistent vibe/theme throughout - specifically the ticking noises and reversed sounds throughout really tap into the "time" theme and work with the described concept perfectly. Literally the only feedback I can think of is that I think the piano in "Self Sacrifice" is a little bright/could maybe use some resonance reduction.

Very nice. I love all of the textural stuff going on in the background. Nostalgia especially is beautiful - really love the way the piano is panned throughout. Really the only critique that I would make is that Future Past sounds a little too musically busy for the lonely atmosphere you describe in the game's description, but that's mostly just a subjective thing. Great work overall

Very nice in terms of overall presentation/consistency throughout the tracks. The soundtrack clearly has a vibe that it's going for and I think you nailed it. The Entropy boss theme was by far my favorite track, tho - it was really outstanding, great energy and production, feels really professionally done. My only real critique is that I think some of the tracks don't sound like they were mixed the same way. For example, "The Earth, Ten Billion Years Ago" sounds a little too lofi when compared to something like "Vs Entropy." The former sounds like it's from a 90s era 16-bit game whereas the latter sounds much more modern - this is especially apparent with regards to the high end in both tracks.

Really nice work. Both tracks have some really nice sounding elements. I think Appetite Emotional Reasoning is definitely the stronger of the two tracks - I really like the acoustic drums and some of the harmonic choices. While it has some nice sound design elements, the structure of Brigidiseele Lovely Introduction feels a little less developed in comparison. There are also some timing/tempo inconsistencies that feel a little out of place. That being said really nice set of tracks, especially like the little storyline you included in your submission

This is very well produced. Nice tone on piano, tasteful reverb/delays. I definitely think this could work well as a save point theme. I think it could've been a bit more overtly connected to the theme of the jam but that's my only major critique!
