I appreciate so much that you've backed the game, played the demo, and are now leaving a comment. It helps immensely.
The good news is that the bug has been fixed in the new version of the demo we've been working on! We hope to release it within a month or so.
While there isn't much to learn about the MC in this demo, the questline that starts through Moss (the only where he offers to help the MC find her shipwreck, not the one where she offers to track down the friend that owes Moss money) will lead to more discovery about Vera and why she is the way she is in the full version of the game

Hey, thanks so much for playing! We are working hard on a new version which should fix a lot of the UI bugs with the save button not being visible during conversations.
We have some plans for reworking the time system and the dialogue a bit, but I believe that'll be revealed in an update to our September demo within a few months or so after next month's release. Hopefully you'll think the game is moving in the right direction!
Oh my goodness, that's SO flattering! You've made my day.
And to answer your question - to be honest, I don't know! The thought has crossed my mind and I agree it would be very fun. I will say I don't think you can have both clients at once who are in a relationship with each other- so maybe it'd be a possibility if you turned one of them down.
Here you are! Thanks for the interest (and the patience) https://itch.io/blog/898671/keepers-of-astraela-official-walkthrough
Oh, thank you for the clarification! The vending machine scene should've immediately followed your second meeting with Dean - like he should ask where the vending machine is while still in the MC's office. I'm currently away from my home PC, but I'll be sure to take a look at that scene jump when I return.
Also, thank you so much for playing and for the nice comments!!
Thank you so much! I've been working on a bug fix update intermittently so this is very helpful. The only thing different about the Dean vending machine should be that the on-screen navigation options temporary disappear whenever the MC is in a scene without her computer screen. You should be able to progress as normal, so this sounds like something for me to look into and see if I can replicate.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the game and are interesting in following its development! Right now the tentative plan is a revamped demo for Otome Jam 2026 or 2027. I know that's a long time away and I plan to explain why in an upcoming update.
Best place to follow would be the GSE Studios Discord, there are individual channels for each game title.

Yes! Most of the clients are dateable except for any clients not attracted to women (in the demo, this only applies to Rachel).
However, I ended up designing the MC's personality to be professional and somewhat reserved. She will let her guard down when encountering her clients outside of her office. At first, these are shown as chance encounters (running into Zaid at the smoothie shop, Cliff at the restaurant, taking Dean to the vending machine) but over time she will choose to spend more and more time with them and her feelings will develop.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it and appreciate you taking the time to comment. It really helps make my day.
Very sorry for the late reply! It doesn't matter - at least in the demo - how many cases you accept. The cases pick up where you left them and it won't have much affect on the outcome unless you end the game without completing their storylines.
In the game design document for a potential full version, I've outlined swapping to a monthly calendar instead of weekly and adding a business management aspect to the game. Having one-on-one consultations would be one way to build up the business but there would be others as well, limiting the downside to not taking on all the clients.
We'd likely be looking at 10-15 clients in a full version!
Thank you so much for playing, I'm so glad you had a good time and enjoyed the MC. I would love to write a whole storyline for her!
Ahhh, thank you for such a long and lovely comment!! I'm so glad you enjoyed Zaid and Atlas and that the characters felt human. This was super important to me to convey and it's a relief to know that it's coming across well.
It's tricky at times to write good dating advice, but good communication never seems to fail. :)
You are correct the demo is lacking this feature - and that the game really needs it!! I would love to add in a little notebook at part of the GUI that you can open and review whenever you want that updates to include notes on each meeting you have with your clients as well as some other handy reminders. Definitely in a full version, but hopefully in an update.
You're seriously the best for checking the game out and leaving your review. Thanks for all the kind words <3
Quick note: in the Bobbi update I mentioned I would be adding a Thana/Emrys campfire scene to the demo. However, originally I was just planning to add in the scene with just a background and no sprites. As I was working on adding the scene, I decided it would be better to wait until I could add sprites as well. Thana's sprite is still in the works, so the campfire scene probably won't be added to the demo until February.
Hey Spencer! I've got a mythological otome visual novel for you that follows the story of Psyche and Cupid/Eros and was released just last year! Would love to be considered :)

That fast loneliness build up is intentional - it'll trigger a cut scene once it hits 100, and it can max up to 5 times without significantly changing the game (depending on the choices you make with the cut scenes).
To get one of the good endings, just focus on keeping your curiosity stat low and pay attention to the choices you make during the loneliness cut scenes. :)
Let's see if we can fix that.
Try making the following choices, starting from when Psyche first enters her new home:
Thank the voice/Be quiet
Go to bed/Resist
Let him leave/Ask him to stay
The fields/The pasture/The forest
Comply/Deny
That should give you more than enough affection with Psyche's husband to avoid the bad end. If the problem persists, I would then try uninstalling/reinstalling.
