So heads up to anyone who are going to play, you might not actually play a lot. The game says it's an idle game and it takes that "idle" part very seriously. Once you cast your fishing line, you might have to actually leave it idle right there and then without any interaction. No progress bar to see how long you wait, no mini-game to quicken or pass the time while waiting for something to bite, you literally wait without clicking the game even once until you caught something.

I don't think this game works for anyone here that expect a quick mystery solving game. If you do like really slow burn mystery solving game then this seems like a good game, unfortunately I'm not one of those player so I stopped playing after I got the "chum in the shallows gets you crabs" hint.

damn, that sucks, it would've made for a really cool inclusion. well as long as that weird bug with the noodle is fix I think the game is pretty fun and I would love to play it again!

The game was fun, a bit tedious at the end but overall it was enjoyable. although I do want to point out that I believe the reward you get from custom order when you have 6 tables already is wrong. it says you get 1.6m but from what I could see you get 1.02m. maybe I made a mistake in the mini-game which reduce the price but I'm pretty sure it happens to all custom orders.

the game loop is pretty fun, but there's a bug that severely ruin the gameplay. sometimes, when you try to boil the noodle, it won't enter the pot no matter how many times you try. this means from that point forward, it's uncooked noodle to all my customers with is really annoying and unsatisfactory.

Beside that, a cool inclusion (if you plan to expand the game more) would be a cookbook that automatically note down the different way you could cook once you give it a try at least once and, if possible, the different reaction the customers have to the different cooked noodle you made. It would be very satisfying when you complete the cookbook as you get to see what everyone's favorite food is and all the different way you have cooked/prepare the ingredients. maybe there's even a way to prepare the ingredient in a more complex way (like cutting the tentacle first and fry it up instead cutting it to a fine paste immediately)

Thank you, I really hope the maze is improved because the game was pretty fun to play until the maze completely change my opinion. Best of luck with the game development!

Nice! Warhammer's confusion and 2 target hit can help early on with group enemies. I was lucky near the end of the run and got a morning star which hits all enemies in the front which is amazing.

maybe I'm just lucky but you should prioritize getting attack upgrade on your level ups and getting the warhammer. the belt and power ring artifacts are also good to get and if possible go to every chest cuz, if you're good, you could always get 3 diamonds for a free artifact there. That's what I did on my run and I was able to reach the end.

1st try win?

The game starts off really hard because I'm not used to the timing yet but after I got a bunch of reel-adding artifact, +1 attack level ups, and confusion/stun effect, the game mostly becomes a breeze

not sure if I'm just incredibly lucky or if that's intended but regardless I had fun with this one.

That's understandable, but if you plan to expand this further I think it could be a fun game (granted it's a buckshot roulette-like game but it's still fun)

that's unfortunate, but thank you for informing me!

is it just me or is the position of the bullet in the beginning of the animation when it's loaded doesn't matter? because I swear the bullet being fired doesn't match how it was loaded in, in which case I feel like it would be better if you don't show the bullet in the quick loader and instead just show how many bullet there is and take the bullet and gun out of view. as for card use, would be great if the card being used have more specific animation so that there's no way you can mistake one card use for another or mistaken them for shooting when they're not.

1 thing: make the maze easier.

add a map in the beginning so you can plan ahead, increase the size of the light the player has, reduce the speed of the drone, increase the size of vent, or give even a small hint on which way you should go. It's so annoying doing trial and error on the cramped vent with sudden smasher that kills you out of nowhere while a drone going faster than you is chasing you. The cute game is ruined by that annoying maze

I don't know if it's a problem with the web version but no matter what I do I can't get anything from the radio. there isn't even static, it's complete silence. unfortunately I can't say if the game is good or not since... something isn't working for me, but seeing a little bit of Felixfox's video in this comment, seem like the game is fun. I'll try to come back another time and see if it works then.

The performance was completely fine after it load, there's no stuttering and I was able to play the game with other things going on in the background, so it's just the initial load. Also I think having the "no tutorial" idea would be better if you have like 2 to 3 day leeway where you could mess up and still continue playing. for my 1st playthrough I only bout 1 unit worth of metal and didn't sell anything which apparently is enough to immediately make you bankrupt at the end of the day.

As for future updates, I would love to give it a try and see how it goes, this physics based game sounds fun and it looks like it can be pretty chill too which is a plus. I look forward to a tutorial that explain what that triangle tool beside the hammer is because I have no clue what it does XD

the concept is interesting, but the gameplay is rough. trying to drag the piece of metal is almost impossible unless you zoom in all the way and having 0 tutorial where you could go bankrupt on the 1st day if you made nothing makes the game unfun to play, you have no idea what you did wrong.

I think if you improve the hitbox of the items and give a short tutorial on what to do and what each things does it would help a lot.

also, I don't know if it's just me but the game takes a very long time to load and completely lags out the browser I'm using. I don't know how it performs when downloaded though so it might just my browser and not the game itself.

I found a bug, alien ask for a bottle but... I don't have a bottle.

and since there's no way to skip this request or force the door close I'm forced to lose here which kinda sucks.

Beside this bug though, the game itself was fun. Would be interested if the game is expanded with upgrades like more space or reduced temp change with aliens that have different traits like easily-angered alien (alien that gets angry quicker) or contradictory alien (alien that wants blue container but the bubble says it wants red)

this was quite creepy, though not so much that it scared me, which is good. I kinda expect when you get the fish that needed tumor or brain that you have to get out and get your own tumor and brain from your neighbor, but no you just buy it online XD

would be interesting if there's a continuation or extension of the story where once you get the mystery fish(?), you need to feed it the other fish according to what the mystery fish craves, and if you fail you get the bad ending or something where you get transformed into a fish and get purchased by someone else, and if you succeed the mystery fish transform into some kind of human, so the title works on both ending. just food for thoughts

The amount of token you need to get feels a little low, once you got a 2nd cannon and all money multiplier you're pretty much done with the prestige upgrades, the rest only help a little bit.

the passive income upgrade is also feels kinda useless, by the time you get it to a high level you can already get tons of money from just starting another round (unless you can get the passive income offline then I guess it still have a bit of use)

other than that the game was fun, would def be interested in playing more when there's more upgrades to buy!

(1 edit)

Ok so, I'm already stuck in the 1st room trying to find the key that the voice supposedly left for me (can't find it for the life of me) and while exploring I accidentally found a way to go out of bound.

on the right where you entered, there's 2 barrels and a metal shelves. you could jump on top of the barrels, and then on the shelves, and then on the thin wall to go out of bound. it's not the intended way but it's the only way I can find that lets me continue without trying to find the impossibly small key in the dark room... where ever that key may be

Edit:

just completed the demo, the combat feels a bit slow and there was a time where an enemy was somehow able to hit me despite they already in the dying animation. The key finding in the beginning after you get the gun was also annoying as the game is super dark, your aim needs to be specific to get it, and there's no hint where the key is; I think it would be better if there's maybe a little shiny hint of objects that you can take, or alternatively increasing the hit box of the object.

Beside that, the game's atmosphere is pretty good and I like the art style it has, kinda doom-like. maybe make the game slightly brighter (or add settings to increase brightness) that would be great. I love to see this continue if there's a change to the feel of combat (if you want it to be slow then reduce the enemies you fight, if you want it to be fast decrease the cooldown of each hit)

This is fun to play, although some of the description on what the drink does seem to be wrong. for example, one of the drink (I think milk? can't check cuz game stuck on the admin screen after I take full control of ratcorp) says it recovers 100 HP and add 2 Max HP on the vending machine, but after buying it says it recovers 50 HP and 2 Max HP. another is the drink from the 2nd row that gives 3 Max HP, after you bought the drink the description in the inventory says 2 Max HP but drinking it still gives 3 HP regardless.

I think some of the description need to be re-check to make sure they have the correct number, but beside that I have no complaint with the game and was able to bought everything and (I'm pretty sure) done everything I can. good job as your first game!

just in case you want to come back and solve it by yourself:

hint 1: Check your email

hint 2: Even though the cola in 1-1 and 1-2 are functionally the same, they have different description

vvv |The Password| vvv

The email from the admin Jerry mentions 4 very specific drinks you can get from the vending machine: Sweet Coffee, Cherry Cola, Chocolate Milk, Omega Espresso. If you check each drink on the vending machine, you'll see they have different descriptions on them, specifically at 2-4, 1-3, 4-4, 5-4 respectively. Now, if you read the email again, you'll notice how Jerry like the number 1 and will start putting 1 at the start of everything. putting the 1 with the number you get from the specific vending machine drinks and you'll get"124134454", which is the password to unlock the admin.

this is super fun and making each mathematical function a power up is cool. There are 2 things I would like to comment about though which is about the map and the brackets.

For the map, I would've loved it if you make it so that if you have gotten the number/math function, the would look empty instead of still having a circle in the middle, it just makes re-exploring for the last few numbers easier.

As for the brackets, there seem to be a lag problem when you place them down, especially if you place it while you're in the air (I am playing on a web browser though so maybe this is what your note said but just in case I mention it here.) The game froze for me for like 5 seconds before it continues. Also, even though the brackets gets destroyed when you solve the equation with it, you still need to press down again to destroy the already destroyed brackets before you could place it again.

With that in mind, I have no other complaint and the game was thoroughly enjoyable to play.

you're supposed to press down to put the brackets at the 1st "11" and change symbol to a "-" to make it "-121=(-11)x11", although making the G glitch out works too, as long as you get to the end XD

This is a really sweet game, the puzzles are pretty fun, only gripe I have is that the final gem count doesn't round to a whole number lol

Other than that love the game, would loved it if there's a 3 color version of this, though I can guess if you do plan to make that it would make the puzzle exponentially harder because of the different color combo (still would love to try the puzzle if you do make it)

cute, fun, and short game. good job with your first project!

this was very fun, was able to beat all the puzzle + 2 deleted/canceled puzzle

although it took a good night sleep before I could solve puzzle 13 XD

I see, in that case I hope the development for the 2nd sim goes well. This has good potential and the excessive grind in the end just ruins it. looking forward to the release of your new and improved hobo sim!

Ok so at first I found it pretty funny and a bit fun to play, but by the time I bought all the upgrade it's just a slog fest. the game is waaaaaaaay too slow.

For example, there's a job you can get once you get a Bachelor's Degree that gives you 400$ a day (for now ignore the energy needed). to get a Master's Degree, you need 1,000,000$. assuming you're living in a homeless shelter and don't have the guitar, you need 2,500 days to get a Master Degree, and since each day needs 2 clicks (1 click to skip day and 1 click to confirm to work), that's 5,000 individual clicks. Not to mention there is 0 automation and you have to click on 2 different place so no way to mash quickly.

The guitar doesn't help much either. I'm able to max out the mastery for Busking and eyeballing the amount of cash you get, you got around 300$ ~ 700$. Also, you can't button mash here either since there's about a half a second cooldown.

There's other things I have opinions on, but I'll just give my personal suggestions that would help make the game feel less slow:

  • Either reduce the amount of cash you need for Degrees or increase the cash you can earn in the late game with more upgrades (like "Increase earning from Busking by 50%" for example).
    • Cash earning is just way too slow and you feel like you're walking through mud just to buy 1 upgrade (aka. X's Degree).
  • If you don't want to reduce the cost to get the different Degrees, add a way to have automation.
    • You need some automation if you plan to keep the cost the same, it'll help make the game feels less tiring to play and buying the upgrade feels like an achievement instead of a burden.
  • Give more details on what mastery does.
    • The market where you sell things from the dumpster tells you how much extra cash you're earning, add that to begging and busking.
  • Add a setting menu.
    • The music is fun at first, now I just want it to stop. Especially with how slow the game is, the music just ends up making you more annoyed.

tl:dr; The game was interesting at first, but just way too slow later on with the required cash you need to continue is way too high while the way to earn more cash & the amount of cash you earn is way too low.

Sorry for the long feedback but I feel like this can be very funny and fun game to play and I'm just sad it ended up being annoying to play instead.

fun game, not sure if there's an A+ score but if there is then I probably took too long to get it. the minigame are all pretty fun and the questions are really silly and I love it XD

I would love it if the game is expanded more and have a "story" mode where you start off with 1 subject with a very relaxed teacher and progressively get more subjects and a stricter teacher.

only thing I don't like as much is how you are given no hint on how strict or forgiving the teacher is in spotting you. I think it would be great (if you plan to develop this game more) if we can have an indicator (maybe an eye that opens and closes at the corner of the screen) that tells you when exactly the teacher is watching you. Maybe even having it as an adjustable setting that lets you turn the indicator on/off.

Heads up to other people who play this game. The puzzle solution would only trigger if it's both the right image AND is right-side up (ex. the first puzzle with the light house, you need to both solve that the image is a light house and that it's standing straight up from the ground).

this added difficulty is a bit annoying in my opinion since it feels unnecessary and makes the puzzle solving more annoying rather than rewarding, but if you can get around this quirk it's a pretty decent game and is pretty fun.
