That's actually a good idea, I'm just stuck on how it'd look so it matches the aesthetic of the game, do you have anything in mind?

Thank you for the feedback, I'm curious about what strategy you figured out for the last level, I was stuck on it myself for a bit :)

Thank you, yea you can block the enemy's vision and have some strategies with them. they do react when they see a dead body for the first time they just assume their coworkers are lazy or sleeping but I suppose they could become more alert in some way.

It definitely feels better. one more thing I noticed is maybe the mice should only damage when they hit you horizontally and when you land on them vertically you kill/stun them? or at least you don't take damage

I definitely agree the box should be introduced in a much better way and incorporated into the gameplay. right now we added it last minute so there wasn't much time to make it intuitive to the levels. The logo we will improve too I agree it doesn't say much about the game, thanks for the input.

Thank you, yea originally we only had manually pushing them around but it was hard in some levels specially in longer distances. When you say smooth out the models do you mean change it from low-poly? cause that was intended as the art style of the game but I suppose we can try to see how it looks

Yea we're thinking of adding more meaningful enemy behaviours and actually relate it to the things they do in the kitchen so they're more varied. I'm not sure I understand what you mean "you can run in between walls".

That's actually a good idea making more meaningful and unique star levels would be quite nice. thank you. the box mechanic we added it last minute so wasn't introduced very well I agree.

Wow, the game is actually incredibly fun I forgot I'm playing to rate I just kept on playing :)

The art looks really good but often I'd find myself lost in the map and having to look for where I am, it does add to the chaoticness of it which I enjoyed a lot.

The audio and menu are very well done it feels professional and clean.

One thing I thought would be good is maybe if the map would be bigger and you can move around it with walls and etc. because after a while being in the same square got repetitive for me. Besides that really well done and good luck.

Top-notch music and pretty good art, one thing that would add a lot is as long as I'm holding the mouse the player should follow the current mouse location instead of having to click it again, it made moving a bit of a hassle and the pauses weren't nice. Maybe even moving with keyboard is nice since you only move in two directions anyway. Besides that the game is well done

One main thing for me was not being able to start the level with just a left click. it slows you down and having to reach for the keyboard is annoying. Of course, the graphics are a weak point right now but besides that, I think the game could benefit from some additional features although you've made a lot of variety in the levels with the simple features, and it doesn't really get repetitive.

(1 edit)

I like the idea of changing columns it does add a dimension to the game!

I think the visibility is hard since the bird is massive and you really have to guess where the gap is that you can enter. Maybe moving the camera a bit back or reducing the bird's size would help? or maybe even some sort of transparent thing or outlining the pipes even though the bird so you see where they

Also, it'd be nice to move around with AD as well as arrows.

Besides those the gameplay, sound, and art are quite nice.

I saw the thumbnail and from one stealth game dev to another I knew I had to play it.

I'm not sure if it's intended or not but most of the time I can get caught and just outrun the guards which doesn't make them very scary. I think you should be able to outrun them if you do some good corner strategies and delay them behind walls and doors. but that's just a balancing issue besides that the gameplay is good maybe some more ways to distract the enemies or harder ways like throwing something etc.

Good job on the level design. it got increasingly harder with more features added, maybe add a minimap for bigger levels, especially the ones with the portal are quite confusing in the beginning.

Thank you, did you find anything annoying or any features that made you not enjoy the game as much? Also, anything you think would improve it too. Good job on your game btw it looks really cool

It's actually quite fun but just needs some touches on the movement and balancing.

For the movement, one thing is I think you should be able to come to a full stop as soon as you stop giving any input. Also, the speed of the cat and the animation doesn't really match it would be nice for the animation to actually feel like you're walking and not sliding you know?

The objects you can knock over are a good addition and would be nice to have more ways to crowd control like stun or slow the mice down by doing some cat things on the level.

Thank you :) no, we had some complaints that pushing the dead enemies to the pot was hard and annoying to do so now they're attached and you can roll them around easier. Let me know if you have any other thoughts.

From the idea to the art and music are all really well made and fit together and the theme greatly. Great intro to the game it was very professional and a lot of fun to play good job.

Really nice idea and a decent presentation only problem I had was the balancing which is understandable in such a short amount of time so good job :)

The game is very well executed on art, presentation, and sound so great job. Very well suited to the theme as well.

With the beautiful visuals and ambient sound, it's very immersive and impressive for three hours. clicking on some of the threats was hard but besides that amazing. Great job!

Hahahaha I loved the animation for Monalisa it was very fun. good sound design aswell. Good job.

really cool idea but I think sometimes the bullets wouldn't kill the enemy. If you keep working on it it can be really fun. Good job.

Nice and creative game mechanic and sounds. I also like the visuals for the faces very creepy! Good job.

Nice graphics and sound. just the shooting mechanic was hard since you had to run away from the insects and to shoot at them you have to run towards them. still very nice.

Truly amazing, simplistic and satisfying art to look at I loved it.  good sound design too. I think the game could somehow be more challenging maybe with traps to dodge or sticky enemies. anyway still very satisfying.

Pretty cool a new take on horror games I haven't seen before. and the art is also good.

Here's a video for the level

Really lovely art and presentation. the death animation looks so nice I kept on dying on purpose :)

Nice implementation of the theme and very fun idea. Good job!

Great presentation and was fun to play. I loved the screen shake and the big wave. but a bit too tricky with the timing and angle. overall very good design and nice physics!

Nice implementation of theme and very well paced puzzles. The art is also very appealing and nice to look at. well done!

I loved the motion effects especially as you go faster and faster but shooting and aiming was a bit hard. the screen shake and dodging the enemies was also very very fun.

the art looked very nice I liked the simplicity and bright colors. It was fun but I think you should be able to attack more frequently and maybe a dash for closing the gaps. however, overall very nice graphics and fun to play.

Very nice implementation of the theme, good pacing in introducing harder levels. overall it was intriguing and the simple mechanic makes it very fun.

I loved the idea of building a giant rotating weapon. I think if you add the ability to press a button to pull it or maybe be able to controll the thrusters it'll be even more fun.

The theme is well "illuminated" :). I think it lacked music but besides that it required me to concentrate and time it well which was fun, the art was also nice and simple.  Good job!

I think it lacks audio and needs to become harder overtime. Maybe bigger asteroids or faster? The concept is good and has potential it just more polishing and more intense gameplay. Good luck

The concept is good, but the game is basically unplayable. After a while it gets frustrating. I think with a bit of balancing it will be pretty fun. It has potential. Good luck

The music is very nice, relaxing. I don't usually play games of this genre but I really liked the concept. Overall a fun and epic game. FOR THE HIVE!
