Nice game, just a couple things:
- the character can rotate and fall sideways on the floor, essentially locking the movement. You should try to lock the rotation or add an unstuck ability
- when the player respawns in the air, it can jump immediately and keeps the speed from death (although that is fun sometimes, and may be a speedrun strat)
- view of the game seems to be cut
- making the jump cooldown based instead of when you hit the floor makes it a bit unresponsive, especially without an indicator

Yeah, that was the original plan. At the start of the game the portals were not even supposed to be active and the ground was going to start as a bouncy surface (and slower ofc) for some variety and a better sense of proression. Unfortunately ran into some issues and didn't have time to do anything beyond this base loop
