Nope

Why are they pain?

There's this article for people who don't like figuring what items do.

And there's a way to make gems move a lot faster.

There are ways to build yourself strong enough you can just stand and collect gems, not being in any danger until the very end, and even then not much danger.
Key to success is to level up faster in the very beginning so you can quickly become strong enough to level up even faster.

https://goury.itch.io/lijs/devlog/1484984/what-do-items-do-spoilers

Sad to hear, but there is a chance it may run better in Firefox installed via chromebrew

There's a button on the page, below the game, the one that says "What do items do? You can read about it here (spoilers alert!)"

You can, but outside of the jam

Wow, an actual game!

Is it more trash than this?

I was too lazy to implement leaderboard, even though I've built my very own custom leaderboard service some time ago for another jam.

If you want to check my game out, click on my nickname or sheep picture, it's there.

Did you manage to kill any of them pigs?

Three decades of practice.

Just published second stage.
It's much more metal than the first one, but still plenty chill.

That's intentional, hearing enemies scream 5-20 times per second isn't the vibe I want players to have

Oh wow, this is almost as good as my submission.
And mine isn't even following the theme.

However, here's a couple of things you must fix:

  1. Speech font is unreadable, do something about it
  2. Set up Y sorting for the props
  3. Fix explosion sprite animation frames

Ok, now there is actual invincibility item in the game.
Go find it.

In case it was not invincible enough before, there are many more defensive items in the game now.
Getting them all can make you very hard to kill.
Combining them with some health regeneration boost can make it even harder.

Oh no, I just made it a little bit more fun with the latest update, now you'll have to do it again T_T

I just made it 20% more fun

Open a Youtube channel and stream your process, so we can look and confirm that the one making this slop is a human person.
Anything less than than isn't a proof of anything.

There is no shame in making sloppy games, especially for a jam.
There is however great shame in taking someone else job and lying in attempt to present it as yours.
The biggest problem with aigenerated slop is that people are presenting this slop as if they made it themselves.

No one made it.
It being such a slop and companies behind it ruining our economy and our planet is but a small factor making it even worse.

Look no further, https://sketchfab.com/goury/models
Or do, that's up to you

Read the license for the music you want to use, the answer is never simple and always there.
In most countries, including one Itch is in jurisdiction of, lack of license means you can't use it for anything.

Also keep in mind that DMCA protects Itch and the jam host from legal actions, not you.

I'll try adjusting it if I have time

Yes, but this is still too much fiddling

looks like he's ashamed of something

I'm very much open to suggestions.

But I'm restraining myself to this palette.

Affects me too.

Itch, why are you doing this to me?

I approve, but needs balancing

Jump animation is missing, but also WTF did I just experience?

That's the best way to explain controls in a game.

I'm 100% stealing this idea.

Yup, make card fiddling less fiddly and it could be fun for some time
