Here’s a little project I’ve been working on! It’s a fully functional simulated scientific calculator complete with a parser and tokenizer. It’s also programmable in a custom-made, turing complete programming language that is meant to be reminiscent of TI-BASIC. Try to implement some famous algorithms for some retro coding fun!

Yay! Glad you got it working :)

Really sorry about that by the way :(

If you can’t get it to work on your computer, I can send you a version that uses older graphics drivers if the jam organizers are okay with that.

That sounds like it’s probably an OpenGL error. What GPU do you have? The game requires OpenGL 3 and some older computers might not support that.

Thanks so much for playing! I just loooove the look of crt monitors maybe a bit too much xD

Thanks for playing! Saturn Prime was a ton of fun for me to design. As for the audio, some things came up for my composer and I had to reuse some old pieces, which is why the musical style is a bit eclectic. I think she did great work on the level 3 music though! With the controls, that's something that I definitely would have worked on if I had more time, I agree that they definitely aren't the greatest.

Glad you enjoyed it! And yeahhh the lack of aiming was mostly out of laziness from me, I didn't want to draw the player sprite aiming at different degrees lol.

And yeah I wish I had put more story content in. There's a bit if you click the hard drive icon under the hearts, it brings up a little wiki page that describes some of the game objects and characters. I figured that Eris' drive was probably failing just out of age, but I didn't really think that part through all that much, if I'm being honest. In the wiki thing, it implies that Eris is an Esiine Robotics Polydroid 4 Elite, which suggests that there's more of them out there. The basic enemies have a similar sprite and I intended for them to be a different model of polydroid, but I'm not sure if that really worked. There was also a cut boss fight where you fight another robot of the same model but I had trouble balancing it.

Thanks for playing! I'm glad that you enjoyed it!

Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks so much for playing! I rebalanced the charge shot at the last moment and I agree, it's not super useful in it's current state.

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing!

Tysm for playing! And yeahh, I sorta agree with the recoil jump thing. With the damage, that's something I adjusted at the last moment to make the game easier and I didn't really have time to get the damage exactly right.

And yeah, that was Hungarian Dance No. 5! My composer ran out of time to do the music for the second level, so I used some classical pieces I had downloaded for another project

Yeah unfortunately it seems like a few people have had that problem. If you don't mind, could you tell a bit about the hardware you're using? Tysm!

thanks for playing! and yeah, I wish I had a bit more time to expand on the story a bit.

Nice game! It was fun getting to know all of the different characters, and It was cool that there were so many endings.

I thought it was a bit unclear when the boss was taking damage. Great game though, I had a lot of fun playing it!

good job on this! even though it wasn't complete, i still thought that the writing was nice

great job on this!!!! i loved the art and the drawing of meadow at the end!

As the title suggests, I'm looking for playtesters for my game! Feel free to hit me up at globehead#3697 on discord if you're interested!

Thank you so much for playing! Glad that you enjoyed it 😄

I definitely should have made a tutorial level lol

Sorta how the gameplay works is when you hit a wall you have to try another direction. If you click on the grid in the notes screen you map out where walls are n stuff so you don't have to memorize the path

what time zone?

Great game! I had a nice time playing it :)

Great game! I loved the art!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, there's definitely some issues that I didn't have time to fix. Especially the encryption puzzle. I'm working on a polished, expanded version that should be releasing soonish, however.

Thanks for playing!

Thanks! Yeah, I agree that generally it was a bit too difficult. That wasn't actually intended lol, I cobbled the resolution adjustment together at the last minute

Thanks! But yeah, if I were to change anything in retrospect it would be the difficulty level.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
