True. As I said earlier, worth the wait.
Although with itch acting the way it has been, I might not be able to.
I don't see anywhere that I might be banned or anything, but every game I have tells me "Access Denied" when I try to launch 'em.
Is everybody downloading windows through Mega using Firefox getting a buffer error? Or anybody know if it's just trying to get their app on ppl's PCs?
I am and it's saying I have to use chrome or d/l the Mega app, because Firefox doesn't have the buffer space. I've downloaded 22GB through Mega before with no problems, yet they're bitching about this game at 8GB.
Going to try Drive now regardless. Just an fyi in case things need to eventually move to a different hosting site.
I'll try not to undercut the Dev here.
I've spent 10 hrs on Serenity, and 2 hrs here on Ch2, across maybe 3 days. That was 9 months ago. With the quality I've seen up til now, please trust me when I say it's worth waiting through.
Hell, it's even one that I've kept installed all this time, so that I would know right as soon as I log on, as the updates release.
No smoke. No mirrors. A straight 9/10.
Something tells me I fkd up somewhere. I ended MNF at the group sleep in 0.23 6mo. ago. When I updated from the prompt in my library today, it shows up as the Epilogue by name, but when I Launch it, it's still 0.23.
It still ends at the group sleep, then goes through the 'Thanks' set of dialogues, then goes back to Menu instead of continuing to the Epilogue.
When I try to download the "Epilogue-pc" from the link above, the only version choice that shows in the drop-down on the install screen is 0.14.
Is there another way to get the epilogue, or am I stuck as-is?
*All this I did through the App*
Probably best at this point. I've noticed the app's starting to accumulate small bugs and inconsistencies here-and-there.
Well, more than usual.
That and the file size limit/monetization for adult games (Donations as well as sales) in general on itch.io, I think, are starting to be more of a hassle than it's worth.
I've been seeing more transitions from this to other platforms lately because of it. Also, unfortunately, I've seen a few (sometimes more) Devs abandoning games altogether because of it.
Kinda makes me feel like:
except replacing Lag with itch.io's behavior lately.
Is there a version missing from 0.34 (which I finished until update a while ago) to v0.37 which is the lowest I could find on the Moonbox site? I noticed the fact that on the site Part 2 goes to v0.37, when the original Part 2 from the first three versions I played, ended at v0.34
After playing through the set v.016 > v.027 > v0.34, (I DL'd all of them manually from 3rd party anyway because itch was anal about file sizes and crap even back then), a few times already. I'd really hate it if I screwed up my saves from downloading the wrong thing, causing yet another play-through from scratch.
Don't get me wrong I love the game. However it's at the point where I have scenes memorized far in advance of my actual progress.
{Also I'm suffering from Redhead withdrawals, and wondering how my pregnant Paveena fares}
Yeah I was afraid of that.
Does her affection work like that for other quizzes? I aced the festival, and the one before that I wiggled though by trial and error, at least I think there was only one more. I might have missed one somewhere.
Aaaaaaaand I'm a bit of a of a completion whore, even for these. So it looks like I got more save-diving to go. XD
Thanks for this btw.

Is there any way to keep Judie after Azazel's confrontation?
If I tell him where to go, he shoots me and game over.
If I go for the gun it advances the scene...and fine so far.
At this point I still have both Judie and Aiko's path open.
If I choose to shoot, Aiko does instead, both paths are still open. If I choose not to shoot, Aiko does instead, still...both paths are still open.
Next option(s): If I ask Aiko to come with...at that point, both paths are still open. As soon as I go to check baths, I keep Aiko but lose Judie.
If I say goodbye to Aiko, I lose her path immediately, and at that point I still have Judie's path open.
I go to check baths, look, and Judie's path is now closed.
With Judie's path at 20/41, she is all happy and loving, even at the festival. Sit down for fireworks, things move along and Judie kisses the MC.
Where did I fuck up?
Aiko is one of the side stories, so yes I'm sad if/when she goes, but not all is lost. However, Judie is part of the main story. So I'm pretty upset that I lose her no matter what I do.
I know this is finished, but I just wanted to say the music bouncing back and forth from the Music and Sound sliders.
I normally set the music low for the background, and the sound kind of high so that I can hear it through the music.
The music at the Yakuza's meeting came through the sound side of things, and well, it was just as loud as it would have been maxxed out.
Just letting you know...heading back to sucker-punch Mike.

Need a little clarification please.
I'm saved at the end of the S2:Free Version here on itch. Currently 44hrs atm.
Current Steam store page, version described as only for S1. Yet it also mentions about the next 2 seasons will be released as dlc when finished.
itch is being a bitch and changing what is now allowed/not allowed when it comes to paying on here. Patreon is still going strong (I'm guessing.)
How are things going to be handled in the future? Will Steam be updated with the new season(s) as dlc as intended? What would be the best way to deal with things from now on...Patreon for access soon, or wait until the Steam DLC? I'm assuming the saves on itch won't be compatible on Steam, so I'm probably looking at needing to start over anyway huh?
I don't mind getting on Patreon, but with as far as I am atm, I'm not comfortable buying on Steam in order to just get half of what I've already completed.
*Sorry for the book. My brain is going about 13th gear right now.
Umm, are the supplies broken?
It says supply's are ready to be picked up in the kitchen, but there's no option in the kitchen to receive anything.
Checking supplies is only showing what I cooked, and what was looted from battle. (Ordered veggies. Only have ramen, water, and flour in supply bag.)
*rly wish itch had a 'spoiler' option. Would make images in posts take way less room.*
Since all of book one is on Steam, I'm taking it as a more stable way to support digi_b. Just throwin that out here.
The way itch has been changing lately, I'm seeing this as a way to make sure the dev actually gets the money. Yeah, Valve (Steam) probably has some type of fees for hosting the game, but I believe it also reaches more people than itch does, so the profit kinda evens out...if not rise (heh ;p).
And well, at this point, I trust Steam 1st, Patreon 2nd...and Paypal (when things don't bug-out) 3rd.
Ok I give up.
While I appreciate the helpful info given, it has no application to this.
At just over 6 GB Lucky Paradox MAY have squeaked by the permissions. However Hero's Harem Guild is 11 GB, and Harem Hotel is 10 GB. Both of them can be installed through the App, and haven't needed to use third-party sites like MEGA (who suck ass anyway). So either those two were grandfathered in because they were before the new limits took place, or the criteria for increases is actually way too easy.
Despite this, everyone is referring back to the limit of 4 GB - 5 GB MAX (with special dispensation).
The whole point of this post was WHY are developers so lazy that they choose to use third-party sites when their games are less than 2 GB, while others that are honking way big at or above 10 GB have no problems installing through the App?
Sooooo what? itch has a grandfather clause or something to not require current, already way over that limit, games when they're still having updates uploaded to them?
I just edited my OP to show more clearly what the GB sizes are for the 3 games I listed, and I'd previously linked the other two games for people to see with their own eyes.
If that's not BS, then please explain why over-sized games are still available and uploaded to.
For a while now, most (not all) of the Devs on here that have their games "Hosted on a third-party site", refuse to upload to the itch.io app.
When asked why, they state that itch.io's upload size limit has been reduced and there's nothing they can do about it.
Well after a long time coming, I'm calling BS.
Now I know there's Devs on here that have issues with uploading to the app. I understand. That's your business, you do you. However, those of you that use the excuse given above, you are either doing something wrong, or are lazy.
I have a few examples that explain.
that I just downloaded from the app, as well as: Hero's Harem Guild v0.1.2.2 for Windows/Linux: 11 GB, and Harem Hotel v0.16.2 PC/Android: 10 GB.
Wish there was a 'Spoiler' option to save some space...meh, oh well, my posts tend to become books anyway.
Now please note that I have nothing against these Games in general, they are in one of my collections, and I rotate through re-installing and playing because I enjoy them.
I just don't get why the lazy ones use the excuse of '...that itch.io's upload size limit has been reduced and there's nothing they can do about it.', when that's just been proven not to be the case.
I deleted my saves because they were labeled as 'Old Version' over their images. I deleted them all and was planning on starting over. However as soon as I got out of the saves window the game crashed. The problem is, HHG refuses to start now, so I am attempting to re-install.
Which just failed. It's stuck as 'Queued' and won't go further.
Is there any way to fix this, or am I going to have to not play it any more because it won't install?
Which is funny seeing as itch.io keeps shrinking upload sizes, which cause Dev's to have to upload to 3rd party sites in the first place.
That being said, there's a few games/VN's that I have had installed through the app that are over 2-6GB. One installed right now @ 9GB, so it's confusing why and when the upload sizes got severely cut so that even most 1GB games have to go through 3rd party sites as well.
Talk about itch.io cutting their own balls off when it comes to favorable app statistics.
If anything, at the very least, make it so ppl can add these games TO the app list if it's something they had to d/l from 3rd party, BUT only what gets recognized as already originating from the app. But of course that's probably too close to how other companies solve their compatibility problems (cough, cough, St3@m), that they don't want to do it.
Will I need to start over from scratch since I need to d/l from an outside source...or can I continue my save from 0.39?
With some of my fetishes (a couple being non-human and short-stack, Zara and Pip respectively), I'm already hooked. Just wondering if I need to put in more work before getting to the new content.
itch.io needs to fix something. This new thing of download size is stupid as hell. Limiting sizes that force Devs to go though 3rd party sites only makes it less likely that new players will d/l in the future.
MEGA limits their downloads to xx/per day if you aren't a member, which is a problem in itself with data breaches in the past. Mediafire is a little better, but still sometimes has shady ads that misdirect/confuse what you click on, with pop-up hell sometimes even when you click on the correct links for the downloads.
Not trying to discourage ppl away from this gem of a game. However, I've had to invest in a type of insurance that helps keep my stuff from reaching the Dark Web...again.
Just hoping to inform ppl of the possibilities of 3rd party's interference that has NOTHING to do with the game devs.
Also, Heroes Harem Guild is 9GB, and I downloaded/installed it directly on the app. I don't know what itch.io may be planning, but changing allowed file sizes now, while allowing high GB sizes for some other devs... Like I said, it's stupid as hell.
