Good stuff, particularly liked the bit where there were a bunch of enemies rushing at me from both sides. Lovely aesthetics too - art and sound come together really well to create this nice atmosphere.

Chill game, like the retro graphics which leaves some of the game visuals to your imagination to fill in. Also liked the controls/instructions/tutorial which suggested what to do without being overbearing. I also ended up getting stuck after my tire popped, the truck moved slowly and from what I understand I needed to go to a shop but I didn't see any around. In any case great atmosphere, felt cozy for sure.

Fun little game, self explanatory - could potentially make a killer mobile game! Great music and sound and the sfx are pretty funny lol

Good stuff, at first I Was trying to tend the whole field but it turned out to be better to focus on a smaller batch and was finally able to pay my rent!

Yes, perhaps it could have been made more clear. Technically you win by getting both healths to a particular level rather than 1 of them being defeated.

Initially I was expecting we needed to dodge the cars. But I literally lol'd when my expectations were blown out of the water.

Hello everyone, we recently completed our game jam game for GMTK 2023. In this fighting game you need to balance your health as well as your enemy through combat.

Dr. MEGA Nerd launched the AI Z.07 a super powerful AI. After the AI goes on a rampage by inhabiting a Mech it angers our protagonist Zilla. Take back your place is the king of monsters and inadvertently save the world.

Thanks! For this game I thought "what can I do with the most simple premise I can think of." You noticed everything I put effort into so I appreciate that.

Fair analysis, I think you hit on the major problems in the current game design. For this jam we were focused mostly on exploring a unique graphical style and exploring a new combat system which we could hopefully improve post jam. We basically cut everything else out and focused on polishing that.

We will need to explore ways to improve the feeling of depth and agency in our game in the future.
