Thank you! I'm glad to hear you had fun and liked the characters. I've been thinking about this game a lot lately, and I would like to continue the story someday. I have so many ideas for a sequel.

However, admittedly, most of my ideas are for the story rather than gameplay. I don't play a lot of RPGs, which may explain some things like the battle being easy or the shop system being weird. If I do a sequel, I will definitely try to make the gameplay smoother and more refined.

Thank you for your feedback! I have been working on an update to increase the quality of various things in the game. I will post about it soon. (EDIT: The post is now up.) I am still working on this update, but I will keep your feedback in mind to improve some of the things you criticized.

Can you please explain what you mean by the writing being "juvenile?" I do enjoy writing for kids, and although I originally envisioned this game being for general audiences, I guess I wound up leaning more towards kids as my audience. I haven't spent much time on this website, but it does seem like most of the games (at least the RPG Maker games) are more serious and adult-oriented. Is that what you mean? I wonder if there's a better (by which I mean more fitting) platform for indie kids' games...

No item was equippable? That's strange. I specifically set every item type used to be equippable by every class in the Database, and I'm pretty sure I was able to equip them when I tested the game. Maybe it didn't save. :P I'll have to take a look at that.

It looks like I'll have to buff the boss and/or nerf the power of the normal attack move. Buffing the boss will be easy, but setting stats for the playable characters has been difficult for me. Please bear with me as I try to figure it out.

Thanks!

Hello everyone! I'm here to announce my very first RPG Maker game, and very first published game: Dalton Goes to the Store!

It's a short (roughly 30 minute) comedy RPG with cartoon animals. Dalton is a dachshund who is inexplicably obsessed with barbecue sauce. When all the barbecue sauce at his local grocery store is stolen, Dalton must team up with three other characters in the store to fight the thief and get the sauce back! Interact with quirky characters, buy 12 different items, fight a ferocious boss, and explore the grocery store's many jokes and secrets in Dalton Goes to the Store!

I finally figured it out! There is no email it sends to verify your account. Instead, you have to log in to PayPal, look at Notifications on the home screen, and click the one that says Confirm your email address.

Like I said, I've checked Spam every time I've connected my PayPal to itch.io. It's not there either.

I asked PayPal about it.  They said there is no problem with my account on their end and told me to ask you (the third party).

About the seller onboarding: I've chosen my Payout mode (Direct), connected my PayPal account to itch.io, and I have a revenue sharing percentage set. Is there anything else I need to do for seller onboarding?

I'm just very confused. The Payment Processors screen says my payments are receivable, but the draft page says I don't have payment configured. The PayPal setup is telling me there should be an email, but I haven't gotten anything.

When I go to Payment Processors , choose "Connect to PayPal" and input my email and password, I get a screen that says:

Please confirm your email to activate your account.

To do this, follow the instructions we sent to (email)

Thanks for signing up!

You now have an account, and you've successfully integrated PayPal with itch.io. Don't forget to confirm your email so you can access payments."

Then, on the Payment Processors screen, there are three steps for connecting to PayPal.

(red warning sign) Email confirmed with PayPal

(checkmark) Payments receivable

(checkmark) Account permissions

On the draft for my game, I have payment set to $0 or donate, and I have a message saying "You don't have payment configured If you set a minimum price above 0 no one will be able to download your project. "

Hello,

I'm trying to connect my account here to my PayPal. Everything works except for the verification email. I have tried connecting my account three times (twice on Edge and once on Google Chrome), and the verification email did not send. I have tried refreshing my email and checking in Spam, but still nothing. I am trying to upload a game, and it says I cannot do it until my account is verified. Can someone please help?

Hello everyone!

I am close to completing my first game in RPG Maker MV. I have heard great things about this website, so I am planning to publish it here. However, I have never published a game before, and I have a question about credits and copyright.

Do people here usually credit their games to their username or their real name?

I want to be able to put this game (and any others I may make in the future) on my resume and portfolio webpage. Can I still do that if I don't use my real name in the game or its promotional material on here? Will I still own the rights to my game even if I say "© 2021 CuttleFox" instead of my real name?
