That is His Grace Patch Leopold, Duke of Couchington. He has very discerning taste in games (he’s never tackled my laptop before) so this is a high honor indeed. 😁

Neat little game. Like some others, I struggled with the 3rd step of the 9mm, but I managed to escape using the .38.

Good work team!

The chill grooves belie the SADISTIC NATURE OF HOW DIFFICULT THIS LITTLE GAME IS!

I mean… I totally didn’t fail so many times at this game. Not at all. You should probably make it harder for the super serious web gamers out here. :D

Good work, especially for doing the whole thing by yourself inside of a week.

Browser game rate exchange extravaganza, let’s gooooo!

I genuinely enjoyed seeing another dog-centric game and was happy to rate and comment after playing!

Take a look at what we put together when you get a chance.

Absolutely delightful little game. It took me to the end of the first level to understand why you were getting caught, but I felt like that was a good “learn the rules by playing” approach.

Maybe in a future iteration, you could implement some more unique SFX, but I think this is great for a game jam project!

I’m also happy to report that this game is cat approved!

I’m glad you enjoyed the game and congrats on achieving “the dream”! :D

NOOOOO MURIEL! How could you replace Courage with a cat?!

Fun little implementation of the theme. I did have to restart the game several times because the cat would trap me against a door, but I it was fun nonetheless.

Good work!

A hilariously morbid setting! Y’all did a great job of building such a solid vibe with the setting and music. I’m not sure if it was just my browser, but I didn’t hear any SFX during the gameplay and could hear only the background music. I still enjoyed it anyway. :)

Well done!

A fun take on the endless runner genre. Excellent job of tying the music pace into the increasing chaos of the run! I often think of Southern Spain as a home away from home, so thank you for providing a little digital slice of the region! :)

A good base that could grow into a more full fledged project. Fun choice of art and music! It’s also really cool that you uploaded all the codeberg.

Well done!

What a fun take on a clicking game! Since you already played Other People’s Biscuits, it should go without saying that I love the music choice.

If you get around to it after the jam, I’d love to see what the end of the game looks like. :)

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it.

Herzlichen Dank fürs Spielen!

What a fun game. Who knew that all you need to become the bestest boy at online gaming is to run for mayor and help your definitely-not-a-crocodile-in-disguise friends take advantage of the public?!

Solid work on the music and art/animation as well!

Pixel minimalism gets me every time. The music and SFX fit the vibe so well too!

I’m not familiar with this kind of game, so a more extensive instructions would have been helpful. It felt like I was just guessing and hoping for the best rather than making any intentional risks. :)

Neat idea for a little game. The clunkiness of the controls in web view contributed more to the difficulty than the game, but it was still fun.

The intro/menu music started of really strong. I would love to have heard more of that throughout the game.

Man, this is such solid work. The photos are great, the SFX is fun, the music is such a vibe, and the gameplay was genuinely enjoyable.

Absolutely top notch!

Awesome! We thought a lot about the design and how to keep it as straightforward as possible and it sounds like that paid off.

I’m glad you enjoyed it!

You’re so very welcome! I know how helpful targeted feedback is for me, so I thought it would be worth sharing that little bit. I genuinely enjoyed the rest of the game though so it certainly wasn’t enough “ruin” the experience. :)

Hah! We thought about trying to write an entire engine inside of a week, but then we realized that neither of us actually know how to do that.

I’m so glad you enjoyed it anyway! :D

Very fun little game. The gameplay of the battle is not exactly clear without instructions, but you pick it up pretty quick after a few rounds.

SFX, music, and artwork are just absolutely delightful.

Fantastic work by the whole team!

I’ve definitely played this kind of thing before (both digitally and IRL), but somehow I kept pushing myself to eat more and more biscuits. The “biscuit gobble” sound really cracked me up.

Great execution!

Very fun little game. The character walking sound got a little tiring after a while, but I otherwise really enjoyed the audio of them.

I’m a sucker for the nostalgia of pixel animation anyway, but I think you did a great job with these too.

Well done!

Really fun little game that felt difficult enough to be a challenge but not so hard that it wasn’t fun.

Great job for having worked on it by yourself!

Definitely feeling the anxiety and risk but found myself playing over and over anyway.

SOLID work!

Couple of bugs/issues encountered: -The instructions for the item pickup fades really fast and I wasn’t able to read the whole thing. -It also seems that you can just pick up all three items. I’m not sure if that’s intentional or not. -The spellbook doesn’t seem to aim/fire the way that the other items do. (Not sure if this is intentional or not).

Had to restart the game multiple times due to loading/menu bugs. It’s been a long time since I’ve had to do any math-related puzzles, so an introduction or explanation for the rules would have been helpful. SFX choices fit together well and the multiple volume sliders was nice. I’m unsure if it was a bug, but I was not able to hear any background music playing.

The art style is nice, but the complete lack of audio and music made it difficult to get through so much reading without any prior context. I really like the aesthetic style of the game as well (menus, font selection, etc.).

Heck yeah! Well done!

Hey folks, My name is David and I’m a musician/composer/engineer based in Germany. I’ve been playing guitar and a few other instruments for just over 20 years and I enjoy writing in several orchestral and acoustic string-instruments genres (examples in the demo below). I’d really love to work on a Weird West or fantasy themed 2D project but I’m open to helping out wherever I can.

I’ve also been working in the software industry (enterprise web hosting) for the last decade and have a pretty good handle on technology projects. I’ve put together a few Godot demos and am still getting a handle on the basics of coding for games, but I’d be happy to help with project organizing and pitching in with coding where I can.

Some of my work A quick demo snippet of some music I’ve written:

A short Animation project where I did all the audio work (composing, sound design, vocal processing) as well as contributed to the dialogue writing/editing:

And a few short clips of things I wrote and recorded:

And my Github where I’ve been uploading Godot demos as I’ve been learning the engine:

I recently wrapped up a professional project, so I should be available to dedicate most of my time to the Gamejam. With how short this Jam is, I think it would be easiest for me to join a team based in EU time zones.
