Hey, changing font types felt a little be jarring. It went from simple font to high def serif then back to a simple font. The scrolling was way to fast to read, which also effected the mood a bit. It seems like a slow atmospheric game, and the super fast text through me out of that a bit.
The sound was great but cut off abruptly after the chapter had ended.
The tone and atmosphere good. It had me feeling tense.
Hey, I would like some feedback for my dice game. I would enjoy some feedback. https://dyyter.itch.io/yachtastic
- Do you know what to do?
- Is the limited text too hard to read?
- Is it fun?
- How is the art style?
Anything else you notice would be appreciated.
As the game is an early alpha, a prototype there will be bugs. List them if you want, but I'm more interested in the games feel and direction.
Thanks Dyyter
Hey, Maybe I'm not quite your target audience but...
I played your game for a few minutes then felt, bored isn't the right word but didn't know what I was trying to achieve. I had no goal. After that I left it in the background to see what else would happen.
In the game Magic Archery there is always a new interesting goal to get. It starts off as getting stronger then changes as things get unlocked. The goal changes keeping it interesting.
In Wizards Tower I felt compelled to grow the tower. A fairly simple goal but compelling enough that I finished it.
The UI was good, clean, crisp and easy to read and understand. It took me no time at all to figure out what I was meant to be doing.

This was fun, a few things I noticed after about 15-20mins of playing.
It took me a while to figure out the the base I was defending was also a shop. I spent longer than I will admit running around without ammo.
I found the recoil on the pistol slightly annoying. I was expecting it to be more with the shotgun but it had the same amount.
The torches in the level took me out of the immersion a bit. They weren't mine I was some kind of space marine. They weren't the bugs, so whose were they.
Nice game, I enjoyed the limited interaction and just like in real life I was station surfing.
Couldn't relate to this as a son much but could as a dad, it seems hard to communicate with your kids sometimes. If I was in the dads shoes I think I would be immensely relieved at the end of this car trip.
